Rifrafters Campground Reviews
Great place for dogs! Absolutely loved the pond and outback loops and welcome sight after a long drive to stretch yours and your furry companions legs. For dog lovers this place is a gem because you can get some steps in with tons of sniffing opportunities in nature. The dog park is usable now but under construction and will be welcome enhancement too. Wish there were public trash receptacles around the property in addition to dumpster to make picking up after your pet much more convenient. Our lot was great and the park overall nice and clean although we didn't need use of public facilities they were available. I always wish for more privacy but this campground a great choice overall.
Apr 28, 2025 · Shannon Van DenbroekWe just pulled in yesterday. We were welcomed and brought to our site. Clean, quiet and lovely campground. There's a small pond you can walk to which is a 1/2 mile loop and a longer loop trail as well. They are putting new sites in and it's nice seeing them working on making this park bigger. Did not check out the other facilities (bath house and laundry) because we have our own onboard. There are quite a few really cute cabins as well and plenty of tent sites. Something for everyone. Our big rig fit perfectly in site 3 with plenty of beautiful trees.New River Gorge National Park is only a couple of miles away which is why we wanted to stay here and very glad we did.Looking forward to our week here.
Apr 18, 2025 · Karen FlahiveOur family had a great trip at Rifrafters! We got there a bit later than expected but the staff was great and helped us get situated although it was past business hours. Would highly recommend if you are planning a camping trip to the New River Gorge area!
Apr 20, 2025 · Mike ShelbourneSuper friendly staff! The campground has nice sized sites and they assist you with backing in. They have tent sites as well as cabins and can accommodate big rigs with tows.Everything is clean and well maintained. They have a huge dog park, places to walk, showers, playground pavilion and deliver firewood. Sites are off the main road, settled in among the trees and very quiet at night. This is the only campsite that when a staff member saw me the next day, remembered my name. Just minutes from town, New River Gorge National Park and lots of outdoor activities.
Oct 13, 2024 · A Divine CanineCampground is a very short drive (maybe 5 minutes) to the large bridge and visitors center of new river. Sites had good connections for campers of different sizes. If you need a hot shower, the bath house is plenty reasonable and kept clean (easily the best campsite bathrooms/ showers I've seen yet). Staff was accommodating and good to interact with. We would happily stay here again
