Mar 19, 2025 · Kevin HatfieldI really enjoyed my stay at Bear Mountain Cabins. The sites were level, clean and well maintained. They were also well spaced between your neighbor and shaded. The fall foliage mid to late October was awe-inspiring and I found myself taking lots of photos and picking up leaves to take back home. This campsite is also quiet at night. You won't hear a train or freeway noise here. Such a blessing. They have walking trails and several playgrounds as well as showers and a camp store. They also offer a free dump site for your black and gray water tanks.Staff was very friendly and accommodating and I had a generic soda for only $0.50! I haven't paid that little for a soft drink in forever. 🙂
Nov 01, 2024 · A Divine CanineStayed three nights at this campground on Site 18. The sites are very spacious and exceeded our expectations. As other reviews have said the staff at this family owned campground are the best we have encountered. They make you feel very welcomed and work hard to make your stay comfortable. This is my first stay in West Va. I love the beauty of the area and the enjoyed some of the friendliest people perhaps in all of the US. I hope to return soon.
Sep 22, 2024 · BL PeaceWe stayed at Bear Mountain Cabins and Campground in the Amish cabins. Overall the stay was enjoyable and the location of the campground is very close to nearby activities. However, one big complaint I have is that for the price of these cabins I should not have to do all of the housekeeping work myself. We paid $135 a night to have to take the sheets off of our bed and take out our own trash after our stay. And to top it off housekeeping asked for a tip! And as far as we’re aware they never came in to do any work through the 3 nights we were here. They should be tipping us. Bed was also very uncomfortable and the TV super small, wifi was horrible and although they don’t list it as something they “guarantee” why even offer it if it doesn’t work? If you enjoy doing chores while you’re trying to relax, great place!
