Muddy Run Park Reviews
What a wonderful time with the group and the dogs. Did s'mores by the fire and splashed in the water park. They had inexpensive bots to rent for $20 for first hour and other activities. The snack bar had plenty of food to choose from and it all felt very safe and welcoming. Came with a big group and every one had a splendid time.
Aug 21, 2024 · Peter GonzalezMy friend and I rented kayaks this past weekend. We got there soon after they opened at 8am. Workers were friendly and helpful. It cost $20 for first hour and $10 for each additional. They incremented the additional hour for us. The lake was so peaceful. Hardly anyone was there besides a few people fishing. We will definitely go back.
Jul 08, 2024 · Michelle RWe live close to Muddy Run and have been there many times. This year for Easter I decided to have our family there for lunch. I called ahead to make sure the pavilion had electricity and it did. So instead of just winging it like I usually do and risking not having a place that I would be assured was just ours to use I paid the 175.00 fee. I arrived that morning at 9:30.and had three roaster pans to cook food in and a Coffee maker. I proceeded to carry everything in and make the food. I discovered there was only one outlet, and as soon as I tried to plug in a coffee maker and one roaster pan it would trip the breaker. Tried calling to the office and they were closed till noon due to Easter. Food needed to cook and so I had to carry all the food down to the bathrooms to cook. Finally at 12:30 someone came up from office and explained that this is what they had, never apologized but offered to run a cord from the splash pad up. But by then the food had needed 2 hrs to cook. Anyway for the price I paid and what you actually get isn’t justified. I do think a partial or full refund should have been given.
Apr 22, 2025 · Cheryl YoderWe brought our Pathfinder (church youth ) group there to camp over the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The bathroom and shower facilities were great. A group took a Saturday afternoon walk around part if the lake. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Playgrounds for the children. Boats, canoes, and kayaks for rent to take a spin around the lake. Wifi access most places.
Apr 16, 2023 · Loretta CompherA beautiful 100-acre lake off the Susquehanna that feeds Exelon Power’s Muddy Run Pumped Storage Facility, generating electricity for the surrounding area during peak demand periods. This park has a wide variety of offerings including great birding, a disc golf course, picnic areas, playgrounds, boat launches for water access, hiking trails, and an observatory. It is pretty far south in the county, but it is definitely worth the trip.
