The environment at Nackte is described as "well in touch with nature," suggesting a setting where guests can feel connected to the outdoors. The campground is relatively young, being only two years old, and is characterized as "cozy," implying a more intimate and perhaps smaller scale compared to larger RV resorts. The ongoing aspirations for "great scale for expansion" indicate that while currently cozy, the campground has a vision for growth and potentially enhanced facilities in the future. Guests can expect to encounter "eclectic guests to converse with," fostering a sense of community and open-mindedness among visitors.
Nackte's location near Stockdale, Texas, offers a rural setting that is likely conducive to a sense of privacy and natural immersion, which aligns well with the clothing-optional aspect. Stockdale is a smaller town southeast of San Antonio, suggesting a location that provides a peaceful escape from the city while still being within a reasonable driving distance for local residents seeking a different kind of "camping near me" experience.
The services and features at Nackte cater to creating a comfortable stay while embracing the natural environment. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a "Welcome," setting a positive and friendly tone. For those interested in electric tent camping, it's important to note the current power distribution. The review mentions that for electric tent camping, it's necessary to "bring a few extension cords as there is currently only central power distribution." This implies that power outlets might be located in central areas rather than directly at each tent site. However, the campground has future plans to bring power much closer to the campsites, indicating an ongoing effort to improve convenience for tent campers.
One of the more unique features of Nackte is its bathroom facilities. The campground offers "individual private stalls" for toilets, ensuring privacy. However, the showers are described as "open air showers," which further enhances the connection with nature and aligns with the clothing-optional ethos of the campground. This is a distinctive feature that potential guests should be aware of, as it offers a different showering experience than traditional enclosed showers.
The positive feedback from visitors highlights the welcoming and accepting atmosphere of Nackte. One guest who visited with their wife "felt very comfortable hanging out naked," emphasizing the comfort and safety of the environment. The people at Nackte are described as "extremely friendly and non-judgmental," which is crucial for creating a safe and relaxed space for clothing-optional recreation. The reviewer concluded that they had a "very fun experience" and found it to be a "great and safe environment," reinforcing the positive and accepting nature of the campground.
Given that Nackte is a relatively young and evolving campground with plans for expansion, it's possible that additional amenities and services will be introduced in the future. These could include more developed campsite facilities, enhanced power distribution, additional recreational areas, or other features aimed at improving the guest experience.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. The location in Stockdale provides access to a more rural and potentially less crowded environment compared to campgrounds closer to major urban centers. While the focus at Nackte is primarily on the clothing-optional experience and the connection with nature within the campground itself, the surrounding area of Stockdale and Wilson County offers its own charm and local attractions for those who might wish to explore beyond the campground.

This young and growing campground prides itself on its friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere, cozy environment, and plans for future development. The availability of a new pool with an attached cafe, private toilet stalls, and the distinctive open-air showers contribute to the unique appeal. Jun 11, 2024 · Pierre ChaneyMy wife and I visited this place today. And we had a great time and felt very comfortable hanging out naked. The people there are extremely friendly and non-judgmental. Overall we had a very fun experience and it is a great and safe environment.
Apr 13, 2025 · Wyatt HThe staff here are awesome. Went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. Would recommend that you check out this when you're in the area. The campground is only been open for about only 2 years. So it's still a work in progress. Very private. Very peaceful country setting.
Jan 05, 2025 · Rick GardnerOn the last day of our trip to Texas, my wife and I stayed at this amazing campground. From start to finish, it was a perfect experience. Corey was an excellent host. As a traveler, what makes me the happiest is that he created a sense of confidence where I could ask or request anything I needed without feeling any shame or hesitation. Everyone was very warm, friendly, and helpful. This campground is open to EVERYONE, except for those with prejudice or who belittle others. If I ever find myself in Texas again, I would definitely stop by this place!
Oct 20, 2024 · Mehmet Can ÇekilThis place is AMAZING!!! We had so much fun at a private event here. We did some mixed car camping for a weekend. The place was perfect! A great stage area where we could lay out blankets or bring camp chairs to watch the show. There is also a covered picnic area to the side of the pool and the kitchen. Ample tent camping and car camping, laid out well so all are easy to get to. There are also cabins available and we made use of one several times over the weekend. The cabin we used was simple but had luxurious linens on the king bed, electricity and a portable AC unit to combat the heat that built up over the day. It was so cool!Perhaps the most unexpected and pleasant surprise were the bathrooms with full plumbing, even with a bidet! Each stall is spacious and well maintained, with plentiful TP. There are also communal showers. The bathroom is situated right next to the pool area for easy showers after a luxurious swim. In addition, there’s a kitchen area located behind the pool. It was well appointed and management even operate a little camp store where you can buy things you might have forgotten like ibuprofen or tissues, among other things. The pool itself was AMAZING!!! First off all it’s gorgeous! It’s gently heated so it was perfect for the cool-ish nights we were there. It felt like we could just melt away into the water with such a perfect temperature! There was also a large hot tub that looked very well-maintained and was extremely popular! I didn’t personally check it out but I heard it was similarly perfect.Hands down, the best part was the owner, Joe! He was so welcoming and accommodating. Joe made sure we had everything we needed, he informed us of the open cabin that was available, he even came to turn off a light on one of the buildings that was shining into the back of our car a little too strongly at night! If we needed anything at all, he was there to assist us! Not only that, at times he was just hanging around with us enjoying our event and we truly enjoyed his company! I believe I also briefly met a partner, Joel, in the pool who was also very friendly.Overall, I would highly recommend Camp Nackte both for individual camping and for events! The welcoming atmosphere and the care given to each camper make this a must-stay if you are looking to camp in this beautiful area of Texas. The amenities make this fairly close to glamping in my opinion, especially if you’re lucky enough to score the king cabin or if you bring yourself a nice big air or futon mattress. Do yourself a favor and book your stay now!!!
