Narrowsburg Campground (Lander's River Trips) Introduce
For local users seeking "camping near me" in the Narrowsburg, NY area, Narrowsburg Campground, operated by Lander's River Trips and located at 69 De Mauro Ln, Narrowsburg, NY 12764, USA, presents a camping option with a strong connection to river activities. You can contact them at (800) 252-3925 or +1 800-252-3925 for inquiries and reservations. It's important for potential visitors to consider the diverse perspectives presented in recent customer reviews to make an informed decision about whether this campground aligns with their desired camping experience.
When local users search for "camping near me," they often look for a combination of natural beauty, convenient services, and a specific type of atmosphere. Narrowsburg Campground's location suggests a riverside environment, likely offering scenic views and direct access to the Delaware River, which is the primary focus of Lander's River Trips. The positive review from a long-term visitor highlights the appeal for those participating in annual rafting or float trips, noting the convenience of shuttle buses and a landing point directly at the campground. This suggests a strong integration between the camping facilities and the river excursion services provided by Lander's River Trips. For local users specifically interested in combining camping with river activities, this direct access and the provided transportation could be a significant advantage when searching for "camping near me."
The environment surrounding Narrowsburg Campground is undoubtedly shaped by its proximity to the Delaware River. This typically implies a landscape characterized by riverbanks, potentially wooded areas along the river, and the natural sounds of flowing water. The positive review mentions "hard to beat the views," reinforcing the scenic potential of the location. The integration with Lander's River Trips also suggests that the campground is situated in an area conducive to rafting and float trips, indicating the presence of launch and landing points along the river. Local users seeking "camping near me" with the intention of enjoying water-based activities and the natural beauty of a river environment may find the location of Narrowsburg Campground appealing. However, it's crucial to balance this with the more critical review, which paints a picture of a potentially disruptive atmosphere within the campground itself.
In terms of services, the positive review mentions "great campgrounds with all the facilities you would need." This suggests the availability of standard campground amenities, such as restrooms, and possibly showers, as indicated by the positive review for another Lander's location. The key service highlighted is the provision of "shuttle busses for rafting," directly catering to those using Lander's River Trips. The main landing point being "right on the campground" further underscores the convenience for river trip participants. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the enforcement of campground rules and the responsiveness of the management during busy periods, particularly on weekends. The inability to reach the office for assistance and the alleged lack of intervention regarding noise and disruptive behavior are significant points to consider for local users evaluating the services at this "camping near me" option.
The features of Narrowsburg Campground appear to be closely tied to its association with Lander's River Trips. The direct access to river activities and the provision of shuttle services are key features for those planning rafting or float trips. The potential for scenic river views, as mentioned in the positive review, is another attractive feature. However, the stark contrast presented in the negative review highlights a significant potential feature, or rather a characteristic, of the campground: a potentially unmanaged and excessively loud party atmosphere, especially on weekends. The reviewer explicitly states that it is a "party campground" where rules are not enforced, leading to disruptive behavior such as fireworks, loud music, and fighting. The owner's alleged admission that weekend stays are inherently noisy and that long-term customers' behavior will not be curtailed is a crucial feature that local users seeking a quiet "camping near me" experience must consider very carefully.
Considering the conflicting reviews, any promotional information for Narrowsburg Campground (Lander's River Trips) should objectively present both the advantages and the potential drawbacks to local users searching for "camping near me":
- **Direct Access to River Adventures:** Highlight the convenience of camping at the same location as Lander's River Trips, with easy access to rafting and float trips and provided shuttle services.
- **Scenic Riverside Location:** Emphasize the potential for beautiful views of the Delaware River from the campground.
- **Well-Equipped Facilities (as suggested by one review):** If accurate, mention the availability of necessary facilities such as restrooms and showers.
- **Ideal for Group River Trips:** Promote the campground as a convenient base for families and friends participating in Lander's annual river trips.
However, it is equally important to acknowledge the concerns raised in the negative review, perhaps indirectly, to provide a balanced perspective:
- **Potentially Lively Atmosphere on Weekends:** Inform potential visitors that the campground can be quite active, particularly on weekends, and may not be suitable for those seeking a quiet and secluded experience.
- **Self-Reliance May Be Necessary:** Suggest that during peak times, campers might need to be prepared to address issues independently, as management intervention may be limited.
- **Consider Weekday Stays for a Quieter Experience:** If the owner's statement holds true, advise users seeking a more peaceful environment to consider booking during the week.
In conclusion, Narrowsburg Campground (Lander's River Trips) offers a "camping near me" option with a significant advantage for those specifically interested in river activities with Lander's River Trips. The direct access and provided services for rafting are notable benefits. However, potential local users must be aware of the starkly contrasting experiences reported in the reviews. While some have enjoyed the facilities and convenience for group river trips, others have described a chaotic and unmanaged party atmosphere, particularly on weekends, with a lack of rule enforcement and limited management intervention. Therefore, local users searching for "camping near me" should carefully weigh these factors based on their personal preferences for camping atmosphere and desired level of tranquility before making a reservation at Narrowsburg Campground.

Narrowsburg Campground (Lander's River Trips) Reviews
We do an annual family and friends group rafting/float trip and have been going to Landers for probably a decade now, we love it there! I always recommend it to people, great campgrounds with all the facilities you would need. They have shuttle busses for rafting and the main landing point is right on the campground. Plus hard to beat the views. Go, you won't be disappointed!
Aug 03, 2024 · Corin FeldmanDO NOT CAMP! LANDERS IS A DANGEROUS MESS!I stayed at Landers Narrowsburg campground last weekend and it was an absolute disaster. While I fully expected some partying and loud campers, I could never imagine the disaster that unfolded.I was solo camping and the entire campground was sold out. Every single site was filled the brim with people. This is a party campground. Campers come to shoot off fireworks, blast music, and fight/break things until the sun comes upwithout repercussions. It was as if every site was trying to out do the other with how obnoxious and loud they could be.The campground had sent a list of "rules" when I reserved my site. They did not enforce a single one. When I called the office to ask for help with my neighboring sites, I got the answering machine. You are completely on your own here, and it feels like lord of the Flies. But, don't take it from me.. listen to what the owner had to say..The next morning I stopped at the main office and spoke to the manager for a refund. I explained while sleeping is not guaranteed while camping, Landers broke every single rule they said I must obey. The owner happened to be within earshot and he took my paperwork. He agreed to a refund. While the manager was processing this, the owner turns to me and says.. " Just so YOU know... You should have booked during the week if you wanted to sleep. These people have been coming here for 40 years, I am not going to tell them to keep quiet". Yes, that's right, the owner told me it was MY fault for booking when I did, and that loyal customers are the priority. Honestly, I was shocked.Landers runs several campsites around the area and I am sure they are all as lawless and dangerous as this one. If you still decide to make a reservation after reading this, thinking this was a fluke and won't happen to you, I advise you keep the phone number for the police handy, don't worry, Landers gives it to you in your "rules" sheet since the police are the only ones who can help you. DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS.
Aug 15, 2024 · Joshua LaMayCampground has a great layout and atmosphere for the last few years that I've been here. There are different groups of people that always seem to be friendly. There are different sections of camping spots, some with access to the river down the backside of the campsite and others across the lawn in a more quiet area, as well as the wooded section which itself does appear to be more quiet and dark towards the night hours.I will highly suggest if you visit during/around the weekends of the 4th of July that you bring ear plugs and/or don't expect to sleep without issue. This past year we had fireworks going off into the early hours of the morning and I believe they were eventually told to leave the campground. I would have liked to see a lot more push from the management as these were two groups shooting off fireworks well past midnight and dangerously close to the ground as well as over the water while people were floating by.Strongly advise visiting outside of the 4th of July window for best experience. The rafting trip is great as well, floating down the river for 3-4 hours is a nice way to spend a day and relax with slow moving current that is safe.
Jul 27, 2023 · James JakubowskiIf you like spending your vacation at a campground that has no rules this is the place for you. The worst experience camping I’ve ever had. People were riding dirt bikes, music from a large speaker played 24 hours and there was no effort from any staff to get things under control. Fire works went off all night till 5 am. Bathrooms were closed temporarily for no explained reason and they are in terrible condition. I’ve been to Landers many times but this was a new low for the facility. We won’t be back
