Sylvania Tree Farm Reviews
Been coming here for years. The owners are very nice people and the property is well maintained. Campsites are along the river and have a proper bathroom and even showers.Great place to go camping
Aug 18, 2024 · Mark LevantLike prior reviewer - wish we could give a higher rating. We camped here a number of times pre-children but hadn't been able to for the last few years. We booked a hipcamp for fathers day weekend this year which was NOT as described and we had to bail. We drove over to Sylvania and Jane and John not only recognized us right away, but heard our story and agreed to put us up in an ancillary space. The whole property is immaculate and as there are only 7 sites along their whole length of river it's never crowded and always quiet at night. There are hiking trails around the property and leading to the top of a ridge overlooking the river and valley. Oh! and they also rent cabins which are charming and well made (get the one with the hot tub if still available! *6 years ago). The people that you meet all report having stayed there for years, and it's obvious why. Such a great location run by wonderful folks. Thanks Sylvania Tree Farm.
Jun 20, 2023 · Johannes Marselis, LCSWI wish I could give a higher rating! Everything about our stay was great! The 2 Bridges cabin is amazing. Clean, comfortable, and has everything you need to relax in comfort. The area is private, with only the sounds of nature, and flowing streams, for a great ambience. Jane is an amazing host, and we can't wait to come back!
Jun 11, 2022 · Martin MoserMy boyfriend and I stayed in the Two Bridges cabin. It was so cozy and such a great get-away. The jacuzzi tub, double-sided fireplace and the in-floor heating were amazing! We went to the grocery store nearby and cooked our own meals for the weekend. Kitchen utensils were available to use which was so handy. We had a problem with the stove not working properly, but we called Jane and she sent someone right over. The scenery was also amazing. Jane was so nice and accommodating. She kept in touch with me via email to send me information about our trip as it got closer, and when we got there she printed out a whole packet of attractions and information for us. There is a ski mountain close by and lots of hiking trails and waterfalls. We went during the winter time, and can't wait to go back again during warmer weather. We definitely recommend staying here!
Aug 13, 2015 · Amanda BiscoglioOur camping experience at Sylvania Tree Farm was absolutely superb. The campsite felt secluded, even though there were occupied sites nearby (far enough away that we couldn't hear the other groups and they were visually naturally blocked by trees). A huge perk of the site was the clean, well stocked bath house nearby-- not only were there toilets, they weren't the gross kind you'd find at a state park. It was extremely convenient to be able to buy firewood and ice from John and Jane and for our trash bags to be collected. The site was right on the river-- I even caught a fish right off shore! There was even a great hiking path to a cool overlook on the property. I'd highly recommend coming here to camp!
