Nason Creek Campground Reviews
we camped at nason's creek recently, mid June. Unfortunately for us the weather was not warm at all and was actually pretty cold and stormy. The lows were around 40s and the highs were 50s. Bummer because I wanted to get my feet in the creek! We camped at site 44, just across from the creek and we were nearest to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper but no hand soap. There is a powerful dryer in there. Outlets as well. For 4 people, the campsite was pretty small. We also had three dogs so maybe that was it as well. It would be perfect for a couple and one or two dogs but as far as group camping I would have liked a bigger site, even though the sizes of the sites are not listed. The camp trooper came around making sure we all had our food packed away as there was a bear who had a feast a few campsites down. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the area. It is only 30 ish mins from Leavenworth, so we visited there as well. You are only 10 mins away from lake Wenatchee if you are looking for swimming. You need a discover pass which you can purchase a day pass there at lake Wenatchee if you do not have it. It is not required for nason.I would recommend staying here. We did not experience any mosquitos or bugs. It's a perfect quiet hidden gem. Looking to go again soon!
Jun 20, 2024 · Lexi KaulMy wife and I went camping here for two days during the week. It is a nice, clean, and quiet campground. The spaces are well arranged and not too close together. They all have a place to park and several options where to put a tent. Some even have room for multiple tents. They all have a picnic table with a spot for a camp stove. They have some next to the creek which makes for beautiful resting spots. It was super hot while we were camping so we spent most of our time in the creek. There are shallow spots where you can wade in or sit, and some deeper spots you can easily swim. The wildlife are fun to watch! Chipmunks, a family of ducks, and some baby fish in the creek. Also was nice to have flushing toilets. The caretakers were out every day making sure things were cleaned and taken care of. People were friendly but not nosey. Everyone respected our privacy and appreciated their own. It's located close enough to places to eat and not too far from Leavenworth. A less expensive option than a hotel in the town. We will be going back someday.
Jul 27, 2024 · Nathan EngetThis is a nice campground with trees. We had a spot next to the road, the vehicle lights & noise didn't bother us as we are on a camper. However We were next to a 3 family camping weekend who were loud & obnoxious and let there dog roam around. Butu the camp hosts are doing a great job and the campsite itself is affordable and lovely.
Jul 25, 2024 · DawnWe loved our stay here! The nature and surroundings are unbeatable. If the first few campsites are full, keep driving over the creek on the main road and there’s 20+ more sites that were wide open for us. The mosquitos are really bad unfortunately :/ We had to eat in our car or tent to avoid being bit. The location worked great for us to drive into Leavenworth during the day. Bathrooms were fine, and we had a campfire ban during our stay. I would recommend checking local restrictions.
Aug 16, 2022 · Janie CoonSome camp sites by the river. Woke up with river running sounds with beautiful birds songs are amazing experience. Also near to lake Wenatchee south beach. Only complaint is the mosquitoes! Never saw so many mosquitoes at one time. The the bites hurt😖
