Lake Wenatchee North Campground (Sites 101-197) Reviews
First time to do camping at this state park. We all loved it!We did our camping with friends and we stayed in 2 sites sitting next to each other.Site 128 & 130 were spacious, quiet, somewhat close to the restroom & shower. The shower was great beyond our expectations - free, great water pressure & warm shower. You can drive to Leavenworth downtown area within 30min drive for some shoppings or having German food & beer of course during your stay. There were so many chipmunks all day long, so it’s better not to leave any food outside when you leave from your sites. We will definitely go back to this state park next summer!
Aug 20, 2024 · H BCampsite 152. Yellow jackets breading area. They had traps all around it, which brought all of them to our campsite. We had a screen tent up, but they came in anyway. We cooked stew one night and had to eat in our tents for a Buzz free dinner. We killed at least 30 of them, but none of us got stung. The wind was strong by the lake, most of the time we were there. We did get 5 hours of calm weather to kayak and paddleboard. The smoke from fires nearby was not too bad. The 3 stars is only because of the bees. The porcupine wandering through our campsite, was cool.

Aug 23, 2024 · elizabeth blackGreat campground! Perfect for camping with kids with multiple hikes around, access to lake, and kayaking opportunities. Restrooms are clean, showers are great too! Note that there is a host on duty, but there is no camp store at the north entrance. The campstore is at south entrance which is about 3 min drive. Would love to be back again.
