The environment of Our Friends Campground II is described by reviewers as "very quiet, especially in the evening and night." This suggests a serene and tranquil atmosphere, making it an appealing option for local campers looking to escape the noise and bustle of everyday life. The peaceful ambiance is likely due to the campground's layout and potentially its surroundings in Kempner, Texas, which offers a more rural setting. While specific details about the natural landscape (such as wooded areas, open fields, or proximity to water bodies) are not explicitly mentioned, the emphasis on quietness implies a setting conducive to relaxation and enjoying the natural sounds of the area. Local users prioritizing a peaceful camping experience will likely find this aspect particularly attractive.
In terms of services, Our Friends Campground II appears to cater primarily to RV campers, as indicated by the mention of "all utilities were well laid out." This suggests that the campground offers essential hookups such as electricity, water, and sewer connections at its sites. The positive feedback regarding the layout of these utilities indicates that they are conveniently accessible and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and hassle-free stay for RV owners. While the reviews don't explicitly mention tent camping facilities, it's possible that the campground also accommodates tent campers, although the focus seems to be on RV amenities. Local users with RVs will find the well-organized utility services to be a significant advantage.
Beyond the essential utilities, Our Friends Campground II offers noteworthy features that enhance the camping experience. A significant highlight is the "nice sized dog run." This amenity is a major plus for local campers who travel with dogs, providing a dedicated and safe space for their pets to exercise and socialize off-leash. The positive mention of the dog park in both reviews underscores the campground's pet-friendly attitude. Additionally, one reviewer noted that they "used Elon's StarLink for internet without issues," suggesting that while the campground may not provide its own Wi-Fi, the location is conducive to using satellite internet services, which can be important for campers needing to stay connected.
Another notable feature highlighted in the reviews is the positive interaction with the campground owners, who are described as "great people to deal with." Friendly and helpful owners can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, providing assistance, local information, and a welcoming atmosphere. The positive sentiment towards the owners suggests a well-managed campground where campers can expect good customer service. The fact that one reviewer has stayed at the campground for extended periods on multiple occasions speaks volumes about the positive experience and the welcoming nature of the owners and the environment.
One camper mentioned that their "site was a bit sloped to one side so had to use extra blocks." This is a practical piece of information for local RV campers to note. While the utilities were well laid out, some sites might require leveling adjustments. Being prepared with extra leveling blocks could ensure a more comfortable and stable setup. However, this minor inconvenience did not detract from the overall positive experience of the reviewer.

Our Friends Campground II Reviews
I've been at this campground for a year now and 4 years a previous time. It's a great campground for a long-term camper. It's very quiet, especially in the evening and night. My dog loves to be able to run around in the dog park. The owners are great people to deal with.
Dec 31, 2024 · Doug SmithGood place to stop for a few days. Neighbors kept to themselves mostly, but were friendly. Site was a bit sloped to on side so had to use extra blocks. All utilities were well laid out. Nice sized dog run.Used Elons StarLink for internet without issues.
Aug 24, 2022 · Katy KFriendly staff and a quiet park. Most sites are far from level so have extra blocks. We stayed in the new sites on the back fence 31-39. These sites are on large loose gravel. I had to use 4 wheel drive to back up the incline to the spot because the gravel kept spinning out from under my truck. Sewer connections were super tall so it was hard to drain with a small RV. If you can get one of the older sites it will feel more like camping and less like a parking lot. Still it’s a 4 star for the price.
Jun 27, 2022 · Travis SmithMore like a trailer park with some spots for campers. Full hook up and friendly people. Needs tlc. Large 2" gravel at site, slightly level but not a place where you can sit chairs out. 2 bathrooms need updating and was never stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper or anywhere to hang towels or clothes while showering. Camp site is in flood zone during rain event with adjoining neighborhood street water flooding site with mud and debris. Holes in driveway keep you moving slowly
Nov 26, 2022 · Bob EichelbrennerThe owners Cliff and Autumn are awesome, my family stayed here for 4 1/2 months after arriving here. The rates are great, they have 2 bathrooms with showers and a laundry room available. The bathrooms could use some TLC, but they are totally functional. Thank you so much Cliff and Autumn you guys are wonderful people. I would absolutely recommend this camp ground if you are in the area.
