One long-term guest shared, "No frills but nice and quiet with owners on premises who are very welcoming and friendly. Perfect for pipeline workers and traveling nurses. We came to visit family and planned a 1 month stay then actually stayed 2 months. This would be our #1 choice to stay when visiting the Teays Valley area. Only concern is the large gravel/rocky sites if you have someone with mobility problems." This review provides valuable insights into the environment, services, and suitability of Outlook Pointe Campground for various local users searching for "camping near me," specifically those with RVs.
The description of the campground as a "small private rv park on a hill" immediately suggests a more intimate and potentially scenic setting. Being located on a hill might offer pleasant views of the surrounding area. The "private" aspect often implies a more controlled and perhaps quieter environment compared to larger, more public campgrounds.
The reviewer notes "no frills but nice and quiet," setting expectations for a simple yet peaceful stay. The emphasis on "quiet" is a significant draw for those seeking a tranquil retreat. The presence of "owners on premises who are very welcoming and friendly" highlights a personal touch and a commitment to hospitality, which can greatly enhance the camping experience.
The specific mention that it's "Perfect for pipeline workers and traveling nurses" suggests that the campground caters to individuals seeking temporary accommodation for work in the area. This could imply amenities and a location convenient for such professionals, although these aren't detailed in the review.
The positive experience of the guest who initially planned a one-month stay but extended it to two months speaks volumes about their satisfaction with Outlook Pointe Campground. Their statement that it "would be our #1 choice to stay when visiting the Teays Valley area" is a strong endorsement for local users looking for "camping near me" in that region.
The only concern raised by this reviewer is "the large gravel/rocky sites if you have someone with mobility problems." This is an important consideration for potential guests and highlights a characteristic of the terrain within the RV park. It suggests that while the environment is pleasant, accessibility might be a challenge for individuals with certain mobility issues.
Another traveler passing through shared a positive experience: "Traveling home to VA and pulled in for 1 night. Owner has that WV hospitality, very helpful! Small RV lot, very safe. Would definitely recommend." This shorter review reinforces the themes of welcoming owners ("WV hospitality, very helpful!") and the small, safe nature of the RV park. The recommendation from a transient guest further attests to the positive atmosphere.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Outlook Pointe Campground can be characterized as a small, private RV park situated on a hill, offering a quiet and safe atmosphere. While described as "no frills," the natural setting and the welcoming owners contribute positively to the overall experience. The sites themselves are noted to be gravel/rocky.
In terms of services and features, the reviews highlight the presence of friendly and helpful owners on the premises. The campground caters primarily to RVs. While specific amenities like hookups, restrooms, or other facilities aren't detailed, the extended stay of one guest suggests that the basic necessities for RV living are likely provided. The mention of safety by a one-night visitor also indicates a secure environment.
A key feature of Outlook Pointe Campground is its quiet and private nature, making it an appealing option for those seeking a peaceful "camping near me" experience. The welcoming owners and the sense of safety are also significant positives. Its location appears to be convenient for those visiting the Teays Valley area, including professionals like pipeline workers and traveling nurses.

For local users with RVs looking for a quiet, private, and safe place to stay in the Milton or Teays Valley area of West Virginia, Outlook Pointe Campground appears to be a highly recommended option. The welcoming owners and the peaceful hilltop setting contribute to a positive experience.
