Paintsville Lake Campground Reviews
Nice Campground near the lake. The restroom is all the way at the rear of the campground. $40 per night with electric and water hook up. 2/6/25 stayed in site 2, view of Lake for sunset and sunrise. The tent sites are walk-in sites $25, located up past the heated bathroom with shower. Bathroom is also a storm shelter. But there is 1 bar of cell service at bathroom, versus 2 to 3 bars of service near the entry gate.

Oct 08, 2024 · Traci KettingerPros: Beautiful park. Playground areas for the kids. Level sites. Park personnel that we interacted with were kind.Cons: Children unattended everywhere. Not paying attention to other humans or vehicles. Screaming bloody murder. Running through others campsites. Quiet hour should start earlier than 11. The leashed dog rule was not enforced (even though it was brought to the attention of park staff). Spotty cell service. We were told WiFi was being upgraded but they ran into an issue. If you love kids and don’t give a darn about being a decent human and respecting rules, you’ll throughly enjoy this campground.
Oct 12, 2024 · Christine RNice park on the water. Easy to put in water toys..full hookups and some shared spots. Not as big as Jenny Wiley but closer to town. The tent area in the back down the gravel path is an unexpected gem if you like to tent camp...it's gorgeous back there .
Aug 03, 2024 · J BChild friendly, dog friendly, the people camping was friendly. The campground manager was very helpful with anything you needed assistance with. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept. The WiFi service would come and go, but everything else was good. I had a great time with my family. The grounds were very well manicured and no trash on the grounds. There was a playground for children.A place for lake swimming, boating and fishing and hiking trails. A great all round place for family fun.
