Pemi River Campground Reviews
I recently spent a week at the Pemi River Campground and had an amazing experience. My two teenage boys had a blast as there is so much for them to do: fishing, swimming, jumping off the bridge into the river, tubing and kayaking. The seasonal patrons make visitors feel right at home. I found the staff to be extremely friendly, while ensuring the campground is safe and family friendly. We were in one of the cabins and found them to be clean and comfortable. The bathhouses are kept immaculate and always fully stocked. I can envision making this trip each summer to enjoy the scenic views and family friendly atmosphere.
Jul 17, 2024 · Tim McDuffeeI highly recommend their tubing down the Pemi!We changed our plans last minute to have a river day instead of a hike day, of course every place we called was already fully booked. Except these guys, since they are first come first served they had plenty of tubes. It was a 4 hour ride at the most peaceful relaxing pace.Since the river was low there were a few thin spots but they were super easy to scoot over or just stand up and walk over.We brought food and water in little backpacks but they sell nice floating rafts to hold all your food and drinks too.The river water is pristine, clean and the perfect temperature. Our group spends a ton of active time outdoors and we were so impressed with the whole experience.
Jul 24, 2024 · Kristin WhiteFirst of all, I need to say the lady that checked us in was awesome. I don’t know what the other reviewers saw, but she was a very pleasant person. Also, I want to tip my hat to the maintenance man he fix an electrical problem in five minutes flat .awesome people I can’t say enough about this campground. The site we had was right on the water beautiful view watching the river so peacefully flow the site we had had water and electricity.#25 totally awesome. no mosquitoes at all .Nice sandy beach .river tubing was fantastic three-hour gentle ride down the river on a tube on a sunny day. Life doesn’t get any better than that.We will be back …
Jul 19, 2024 · Jim WilliamsWe asked for a riverside site, that's what we got. The site was a great size, location was easy to get to & the river was so much fun. We were able to put our chairs right in the river for such a beautiful view of the swimming area. Planted our tubes in the water and relaxed. The grounds were well maintained, just like the restrooms & showers. A great combination of sun & shade all at once. The fire ring gave a great view of the river from the bank. We would highly recommend
Jul 29, 2024 · michael borelliIf I could give this place zero stars I would. When we were driving back from the camp store going between 5-7mph the owner decided to drive right in front of us in his little go cart to try to get us to stop and proceeded to throw a temper tantrum at us saying that we need to "slow down." We assured him we were driving 7mph and he would not let it go. He continued to scream at us telling us that we needed to slow down when he had no way to measure our actual speed. When we told him we would continue to drive the speed limit and to have a good day because he would not let it go he lost his marbles and wanted to kick us out. 90% of the staff here seemed to be very grumpy and miserable as well. There is no need to scream at someone in the tone that he was when we were only going 7mph. This place needs to invest in some radar guns or cameras if they are that concerned about speed. I have never been to a campground where the staff is this rude and unfriendly. We were not the only ones either (look at the other reviews). We obviously couldn't have been speeding if the owner thought it was a good idea to cut us off in our truck with his golf cart and stop. NEVER GO HERE the owner will try to find anything and everything to yell at you about.
