For local residents seeking a delightful "camping near me" experience that blends the tranquility of nature with comfortable amenities, Pocono Camp & Glamp, located at 79 Act Ln, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, USA, offers a promising retreat in the heart of the Poconos. You can reach them at (570) 774-5267 or +1 570-774-5267 to plan your getaway to this evolving campground.
Based on recent feedback from visitors, Pocono Camp & Glamp provides a wonderful option for a weekend escape from the city, while still being conveniently located near various amenities. The availability of cabins offers a cozy and comfortable alternative to traditional tent camping. These cabins are described as "very nice and cozy" and equipped with practical necessities such as a coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge, enhancing the convenience of your stay. It's important to note, however, that most cabins do not have running water, so plan accordingly. Additionally, guests are reminded to bring their own linens for the beds.
The cleanliness of the facilities is a significant positive aspect highlighted by reviewers. The bathrooms are reported to be "clean," and the water pressure and temperature are noted as being good, ensuring a comfortable experience. However, one point of feedback mentions potential overcrowding at the two co-ed bathrooms near cabin 10, suggesting that a dedicated men's bathroom in that section could improve convenience during busier times. The women's bathroom in that area is noted as being spacious.
Pocono Camp & Glamp is currently in its "final construction stages," according to one reviewer. The anticipation is high that by the summer of 2025, all planned facilities will be open, promising an even more enhanced experience for visitors. This suggests that while the campground already offers appealing features, there are more developments on the horizon that local users can look forward to.
For those interested in outdoor activities beyond the campground itself, Pocono Camp & Glamp boasts a convenient location near popular attractions. Blue Mountain Ski Resort, as well as Big Boulder and Jack Frost ski areas, are approximately 30 minutes away, making this a potential year-round destination for those who enjoy skiing and snowboarding during the winter months. This proximity to well-known recreational areas adds significant value for local users looking for "camping near me" that also provides access to broader outdoor adventures.
The campground also offers recreational amenities within its grounds, contributing to a fun and engaging stay. Visitors have raved about the availability of balls and equipment at the basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts. This provides opportunities for friendly competition and active enjoyment for guests of all ages. One reviewer enthusiastically shared that they felt like a kid again at summer camp, highlighting the fun and engaging atmosphere of the campground's recreational facilities.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the reviews, the positive experiences shared by visitors serve as an inherent form of promotion. The appeal of cozy cabins, clean facilities, proximity to ski resorts, and on-site recreational activities makes Pocono Camp & Glamp an attractive option for local users seeking a diverse and enjoyable "camping near me" experience. To inquire about any potential local discounts, seasonal promotions, or grand opening specials for the completed facilities in the summer of 2025, contacting Pocono Camp & Glamp directly is recommended.
It's important for potential visitors to be aware of a couple of considerations mentioned in the reviews. Firstly, most cabins do not have running water, so planning for water needs is essential. Secondly, guests need to remember to bring their own bed linens. While these are not significant drawbacks, being prepared will ensure a smoother and more comfortable stay.
In summary, Pocono Camp & Glamp offers local campers:
- Cozy and comfortable cabin rentals equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge (note: no running water in most cabins).

Pocono Camp & Glamp Reviews
Wonderful weekend stay away from the city, yet close enough to different amenities. Cabins are very nice and cozy. Bathrooms are clean, water pressure and temperature are good as well. No running water in most cabins. Only con about cabin is not having any hooks to hang jackets/towels in the winter time. Make sure you don't forget linens for your bed/s.Campground is still under final construction stages. Hopefully by summer 2025 everything will be open and we'll enjoy everything. Also, too many people use the 2 co-ed bathrooms by cabin 10. A men's bathroom should be added by this section to avoid long lines. The women's bathroom is big enough to fit many.Blue Mountain Ski resort is about 30 minutes away as well as big boulder/jackfrost.We can't wait to be back to Pocono Camp & Glamp!
Dec 30, 2024 · Luigi RozonThis place, wow! What a beautiful place we found. We spent one night but plan on returning with others. Cabins and bathrooms were spotless. Coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge were a great necessity. Balls and equipment at the basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts were awesome. I felt like a kid again at summer camp, can’t wait to return!
Apr 28, 2025 · Deere3020Highly recommend! I threw my son’s 1st birthday here, what a hidden gem! Perfect for any local or visitor to Jim Thorpe throwing a bday party, shower, family reunion ect. There’s plenty of room! We had 40 people and kids all over the place and still had room to spare. The place was spotless with a wide open concept. New tables throughout and plenty of seating. The view and back deck are gorgeous as well. All the staff is friendly and helpful too. The cabin sites are also perfect for a family/friend reunion. We’ll be back 100%. Thank you Pocono Camp & Glamp looking forward to more family memories here.
Feb 15, 2025 · Caitlin MarksIt was a wonderful trip! The only bad part was losing access to the toilet at night in the cabin but other than that it was great!! We can’t wait to see how the rest of the place turns out with the future plans! Cabins were cute and cozy, view was amazing. Definitely planning another family/friend trip here.
Jan 06, 2025 · KaylaWe rented a cabin for a quick getaway in December. The cabin and bath house were super clean and heated. The camp site was spacious and the camp ground was very peaceful. Would definitely come again for a winter get away.
