This proximity allows campers to enjoy the best of both worlds – the serenity of nature and the accessibility of urban conveniences.
However, it's important to consider all aspects of visitor feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the campground experience. One recent review highlighted a significant issue with a heavy accumulation of fallen leaves and a reported infestation of ticks, rendering a particular campsite unusable. The reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the campground's refund policy in this situation. While this negative experience is crucial to acknowledge, it's also worth noting that other visitors have described the campground as "very nice."
When planning your visit to Prairie Creek Campground, it would be prudent to inquire about the current ground conditions and any recent maintenance efforts, especially during the fall season when leaf accumulation might be more prevalent. Additionally, taking appropriate precautions against ticks and other insects is always recommended when spending time outdoors, particularly in wooded areas.

Prairie Creek Campground Reviews
Very nice campground. Accommodated our group of about 20. Tent and RV camp sites available. Day use swimming area with 2 boat docks to launch and load if you want to do all that. Great place to camp on Beaver Lake! Not far from downtown Rogers if you get bored at the lake and want to enjoy the local food and nightlife.
Apr 21, 2024 · Brandi DayWe showed up and weren't even able to set up a tent. The ground was covered with a 3-4 inch blanket of fallen leaves and was INFESTED with ticks. I know ticks and other bugs are going to be in the woods but this was ridiculous. The second we stepped out of our car we were covered in them. The spot was uncampable, even if we didnt have a dog and a toddler with us. We were denied a refund. Not worth the 48$ at all.
Apr 24, 2025 · Claire SchnellMy experience was great. The rangers are easy to interact with. They work with their renters. My boyfriend and I just stayed there this past week, and we met some interesting people while swimming. There was a domestic violence incident with another person staying there, but it was taken care of quickly by the rangers and sherrif. We would definitely stay again.
Jul 31, 2023 · Emily WilliamsCool spot to camp and fish it also has grill in camp area..
May 04, 2025 · eric carsonWe almost had the campground to ourselves. Other than some thunderstorms, we had a very quiet stay. Since we are so early in the season, we weren’t able to enjoy all the park had to offer. This is a beautiful location and we would like to come back in the summer. We stayed in site 9 which is a pull through with water and electric. This site is definitely tricky with a big slope but we made it work. There is a dump station on site.
