Quinta Las Cabanas Grove Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" around Reading, Pennsylvania, Quinta Las Cabanas Grove, located at 91A Bowers Rd, Reading, PA 19605, warrants careful consideration based on recent customer feedback available online. Unlike campgrounds that typically receive positive reviews highlighting their amenities and natural beauty, the limited reviews for Quinta Las Cabanas Grove raise significant concerns that potential visitors should be aware of before making any decisions.
One particularly detailed review from an individual who stated they "lived there for a year" paints a concerning picture of the campground environment and management. This reviewer described the bathrooms as "dirty and grimy," recounting an instance of finding men's soap in the women's bathroom and noting that "half of the toilet stalls don't work." Such conditions would undoubtedly detract significantly from the comfort and hygiene expected at a campground.
The same reviewer also raised serious allegations regarding financial practices, claiming that the owner charged everyone an extra $300 due to electricity costs, despite the presence of an electric car being plugged in continuously on the premises. This suggests potential issues with transparency and fairness in billing. Furthermore, the reviewer labeled the individual running the campground as "shady," which is a serious accusation that should give potential visitors pause.
Beyond the issues of cleanliness and potential financial irregularities, the review also raised significant safety concerns. The reviewer mentioned a dog running around the pool area and alleged the presence of individuals on Megan's Law without any notification to residents or guests. It is strongly advised by this reviewer to "definitely do your research before you move there especially if you have little kids." This highlights potential safety risks that are paramount for families to consider when choosing a "camping near me" location.
The financial aspect was further criticized, with the reviewer stating that the cost was $700, in addition to weekly pumping fees that varied in timing. The concluding advice from this individual, based on their year-long experience, was a stark "Just don't go here." This strong negative recommendation carries significant weight and should not be ignored by local users exploring camping options.
Another, albeit briefer, review echoed several of these negative sentiments. This reviewer suggested that while Quinta Las Cabanas Grove might have been a "five star place" at some point, it currently "appears to be a place for people to live in there RV." This indicates a potential shift in the campground's primary function, possibly impacting the experience for short-term campers seeking a traditional campground atmosphere.
This second reviewer also noted a lack of essential camping amenities, stating, "No picnic tables, no fire rings, no dump station that I could find." These are standard features expected at most campgrounds catering to overnight or short-term stays. The absence of these amenities would severely limit the camping experience, making it difficult for guests to enjoy basic outdoor activities and manage their RV needs.
Regarding utilities, this reviewer mentioned "Water yes, electric was iffy" and stated that they "Did not see any bathroom facilities," which directly contradicts the first reviewer's description of dirty and non-functional bathrooms. This discrepancy might indicate variability in conditions or perhaps a complete lack of facilities in certain areas of the campground. The price of $55 per night was deemed "High priced" by this reviewer, especially considering the apparent lack of amenities. The concluding recommendation was also negative: "Would not recommend."
Considering these two reviews, local users searching for "camping near me" should be extremely cautious about Quinta Las Cabanas Grove. The feedback points to significant issues related to cleanliness, potentially unfair financial practices, serious safety concerns, a lack of essential camping amenities, and a high price point relative to the apparent offerings. The strong negative recommendations from both reviewers, one with an extended stay experience, should be taken very seriously.
Given the severity of the allegations, including potential safety risks involving individuals on Megan's Law and the presence of a loose dog around the pool area, it is imperative for local users with children to exercise extreme caution. Verifying the accuracy of these claims and understanding the campground's policies regarding guest safety would be essential before even considering a visit.
The discrepancies between the two reviews, particularly regarding the existence and condition of bathroom facilities, further underscore the potential for inconsistent or unreliable conditions at Quinta Las Cabanas Grove. This lack of consistency makes it difficult to ascertain the true state of the campground and plan accordingly.
Due to the overwhelmingly negative feedback and the serious nature of the concerns raised, including safety, financial transparency, and basic amenities, Quinta Las Cabanas Grove cannot be recommended to local users seeking a positive "camping near me" experience based solely on the information available online. Potential visitors are strongly advised to conduct thorough independent research, including seeking additional reviews or information from other sources, and potentially contacting local authorities or consumer protection agencies to inquire about the validity of the claims made in these reviews.
In conclusion, the available online reviews for Quinta Las Cabanas Grove present a deeply concerning picture. Local users searching for "camping near me" in the Reading, PA area should be aware of the allegations of unclean and malfunctioning facilities, questionable financial practices, potential safety risks, a lack of basic camping amenities, and a high nightly price. The strong negative recommendations from past visitors suggest that this campground may not provide a satisfactory or safe experience. It is crucial to prioritize safety and comfort when choosing a camping destination, and based on the current information, Quinta Las Cabanas Grove appears to fall significantly short of these expectations. Thorough due diligence is strongly advised before considering a stay at this location.

Quinta Las Cabanas Grove Reviews
I lived there for a year. The bathrooms are dirty and grimy I went one time and found mens soap in the women's bathroom half of the toilet stalls don't work. The owner then charged everyone and extra $300 because of electric, but there was an electric car plugged in 24/7. BEWARE the guy who runs it is shady. His dog is running around the pool area and there are people on Megan's law that they don't tell you about definitely do your research before you move there especially if you have little kids. He's charging $700 and weekly pumps which vary in time during the week. Just don't go here saying from experience.

No picnic tables, no fire rings, no dump station that I could find. Water yes, electric was iffy. Did not see any bathroom facilities. High priced at $55 a night. Would not recommend.

Jun 02, 2021 · Niko Seven SQThis place isnt bad, I haven't been there in a while. There's a moving water nearby, a dam or something close to it within walking distance. They may have updated the bathrooms by now; it's been three years since I've been there.
