Robin Hill RV Campground Introduce
For local users in the United States searching for "camping near me," Robin Hill RV Campground, located at 149 Robin Hill Rd, Lenhartsville, PA 19534, offers both RV sites and cottage rentals. They can be reached at (610) 756-6117 or +1 610-756-6117. While the campground has a history, recent reviews from real customers paint a concerning picture regarding the cleanliness of accommodations, the availability of promised amenities and activities, and the quality of customer service. Local users should carefully consider these recent experiences when evaluating Robin Hill RV Campground for their camping needs.
Potential Environment in Lenhartsville, PA:
Robin Hill RV Campground is situated in Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania, which is located in Berks County. This region of Pennsylvania is known for its rural landscapes, rolling hills, and proximity to natural areas. Campgrounds in this area often offer a setting surrounded by trees and open spaces. The name "Robin Hill" itself suggests a location on or near a hill, potentially offering scenic views or a varied terrain within the campground. Local users searching for "camping near me" in Berks County might expect an environment that includes wooded areas, open fields, and a generally rural atmosphere. The presence of a duck pond, as mentioned in one review, indicates at least one water feature on the property, which can enhance the natural appeal and provide opportunities for wildlife observation.
Services and Amenities Based on Reviews:
Based on the recent customer reviews, the services and amenities at Robin Hill RV Campground appear to have significant shortcomings in certain areas:
- Cottage Cleanliness: Multiple reviews highlight severe cleanliness issues in the rented cottages. One reviewer described their cottage as "disgustingly dirty" with "old urine" in the toilets. This raises serious concerns about the basic hygiene standards of the accommodations.
- Air Conditioning in Cottages: Guests in the deluxe cottages reported inadequate air conditioning. While the main room might have a small unit, the bedrooms often lack air conditioning, leading to uncomfortable and hot sleeping conditions, especially during warmer weather.
- Pest Control: Another significant issue raised is the presence of ants inside the rented accommodations, even in beds and on furniture. This suggests a potential problem with pest management within the cottages.
- Activities and Entertainment: Families with toddlers reported a significant discrepancy between the website's promise of activities (arts and crafts, ceramics, etc.) and the reality upon arrival. During one week-long stay, there were no scheduled activities until the final day, which was a major disappointment for those expecting organized entertainment.
- Store Hours and Availability: The campground store had limited operating hours, being closed early on Sundays and all day on Mondays. This lack of access to a store for basic necessities or information during significant periods could be inconvenient for guests. The absence of a place to buy coffee or snacks was also noted.
- Pool Condition: While the pool has a walk-in area and a mushroom feature that are appreciated by families with young children, the overall condition of the pool appears to be poor. Reviews mention the need for painting and missing tiles, suggesting a lack of maintenance.
- Golf Cart Rentals: Golf carts are available for rent, seemingly through a third-party operating within the campground. While providing transportation, the cost and necessity of renting a cart are not clear.
- Duck Pond and Fishing: Positive aspects mentioned include the enjoyable duck pond and catch-and-release fishing, which were appreciated by families with young children.
- Limited Staff Interaction: One positive interaction was noted with a staff member running the single available activity. However, another review described the office staff as "unfriendly and unremarkable." A negative encounter with the assistant manager regarding the cleanliness issues was also reported, involving accusations and a hung-up phone call.
Local users considering Robin Hill RV Campground should be aware of these reported issues with cleanliness, amenities, and staff interaction.
Features and Potential Unique Aspects:
Despite the negative reviews, there are a few features of Robin Hill RV Campground that might be of interest to local users:
- Duck Pond: The presence of a duck pond that guests can observe and enjoy, particularly appealing to families with young children.
- Catch and Release Fishing: An amenity that can provide entertainment for families and fishing enthusiasts, although the likelihood of catching anything might vary.
- Walk-in Pool Area: A feature of the pool that is beneficial for toddlers and young children, allowing for safe and easy access to the water.
- Golf Cart Rentals: While contributing to potential noise, golf carts can offer a convenient way to navigate the campground, especially for those with mobility issues or larger families.
- "Robin Hill" Setting: The name suggests a location on a hill, which might offer some scenic views, although this is not explicitly confirmed in the reviews.
However, local users must weigh these potential positives against the significant negative feedback regarding cleanliness and service.
Lack of Promotional Information:
The provided reviews do not contain any information about promotional offers, discounts for local residents, or special packages available at Robin Hill RV Campground. Local users interested in potential deals should inquire directly when contacting the campground.
Recommendations for Local Users Considering Robin Hill RV Campground:
For local users searching for "camping near me" and considering Robin Hill RV Campground, it is strongly recommended to:
- Exercise extreme caution based on the recent negative reviews, particularly those concerning cleanliness and customer service.
- Contact the campground directly at (610) 756-6117 or +1 610-756-6117 to inquire specifically about their current cleaning protocols for rental units and their policies on addressing guest complaints.
- Ask detailed questions about the air conditioning in the cottages, especially if planning a stay during warmer months. Confirm which rooms are air-conditioned and the capacity of the units.
- Inquire about their pest control measures for the cottages and the campground in general.
- Request a detailed schedule of activities if this is a significant factor in your decision, and confirm the availability of the store and any food or beverage options during your potential stay.
- Ask about the current condition of the pool and any planned maintenance or repairs.
- Read recent online reviews from multiple sources to get a broader and more up-to-date understanding of the experiences of other recent visitors.
- Consider visiting the campground in person to assess the cleanliness and overall condition before making a reservation, if feasible.
Given the serious nature of the complaints in the recent reviews, local users should proceed with significant caution and due diligence before booking a stay at Robin Hill RV Campground.
Conclusion for Local "Camping Near Me" Seekers:
Robin Hill RV Campground in Lenhartsville, PA, offers a location in Berks County with a duck pond and catch-and-release fishing as potential positives. However, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns about the cleanliness of the rental cottages, inadequate air conditioning, pest issues, a lack of promised activities, limited store hours, and unprofessional customer service. Local users searching for "camping near me" should carefully weigh these negative reports against any potential benefits and are strongly advised to conduct thorough research and direct inquiries before making a reservation to ensure a satisfactory camping experience. The negative feedback suggests that the value for the price, particularly for the cottage rentals, may not be justified at this time.

Robin Hill RV Campground Reviews
MY COTTAGE WAS DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY ! The toilets had old urine on the bottom and when I told the assistant manager Carissa, she called me a liar even though her own maintenance guy had looked at it! She said I am a liar and I have no proof. She hung up and I tired calling again and she keeps sending me to voice mail. We paid over $200 a night for a cottage full of strangers urine !!!!! DO NOT GO HERE . Bathroom floors are all full of air vinyl is a bubble you will trip . Carissa is horrible service provider .We have been going there since 2017 and she told me to prove it by telling g her all the names we’ve used for reservations she needs to be fired
Sep 30, 2024 · Joselin FloresWe spent a week in their deluxe cottage # 4. The value for the price was not there. We were told an air conditioned cottage, and it was, sort of. The main room which is 10x10 has a mini split in it and stays pretty cool until the temp hit 95 outside which it did the latter part of our week. The bed rooms have no air in them. The larger bedroom with bunks has a ceiling fan, the other space nas nothing. So you sleep HOT! For $1500 a week to "glamp", I didn't expect to sweat all night long. From the moment we got there, we were overrun with ants, yes I know we were camping, however we have rented many cabins and never had that problem before. We were finding them in the beds and on the futon, I think they need to spray the cabin/cottages. I saw they have pest control rodent housing on the outside of the building they just need to treat for bugs also.We had two toddlers with us, and when looking over their website we were led to believe that there were going to be activities running to participate in. Arts and crafts, ceramics ect... When we arived on a Sunday and looked through the list of things happening for the week.. There were NONE! Nothing until Saturday! Also The Store was closed at 2, and closed Monday, so if you needed anything or anyone you were out of luck! Usually there is a place to buy a cup of coffee, a snack shop.. There was Nothing!!They do have a pool, and it does have a walk in area that is nice for the littles. The cute mushroom feature is nice for them also. But if you get close you can see that the entire pool needs to be painted in a bad way, including the mushroom. There are big pieces of tile missing from around the top of the pool at the water level. It has the look of a place that was really nice "back in the day"..We rented a Golf Cart from a company that claims to be a different company but appears to running their business from inside the campground on one of the sites. In all fairness the golf cart did bring us enterainment and Robin 'Hill" is a good name, it came in handy, and I have no complaints about the quality of the cart.Office staff was unfriendly and unremarkable. They could make the stay there so much better if they tried but they didn't.Here is why they get 2 stars in stead of 1. The Duck Pond is enjoyable to watch. We were right across from it and we watched the ducks and geese walk back and forth. They are cute, the kiddos enjoyed it. Also the catch and release fishing was nice for the littles. They didnt catch anything to release but that's ok.The woman who ran the (1) one activity that was available was sweet! Her name was Millie, I beleive, if I had to guess she has a permanant site. She seems to enjoy the kids and was super helpful to the littles and interactive. By the time she got to see them they were on day 7 and had not really gotten to interact with anyone so they were pretty excited for a friendly face.Would I go here again? No! Would I reccomend this campground to a family with kids? No, I would not. Take it for what it is.. My review of Robin Hill Campground 2024
Aug 05, 2024 · Laurie RydenRobin Hill is an absolute disaster! The management is horrific due to being run by another manager from another campground! You can NOT run 2 campgrounds at 1 time! The maintenance staff is horrendous! They are lazy. Told by staff they are not allowed to cut trees or branches, it has to be done by a professional! However, if it is a site that belongs or belonged to an employee, they are entitled to do so! They use company equipment to move the their decks to and from different sites, they are allowed to park however many vehicles in a empty spot when other campers are told that's a "no no" The cleaning lady is not a cleaning lady! The showers and bathhouses are full of mold, toilets not cleaned full of feces.I can only imagine what the cabins look like! These employees should be outside employees, NOT family members or members of the other "sister" campground! Way OVERPRICED! There is no justification for prices! Employees also work on their personal vehicles in the garage with campground equipment! I highly recommend going elsewhere! They do not want to hear any complaining either! Unless it is their campsites, they dont want to fix any issues! There have been huge potholes in the one entrance for years! The employees also smoke right outside the office, which is very unprofessional! It's so unfortunate! This campground has so much potential! I do have a ton of pictures!Let me NOT forget to tell you that they put new electrical pedestals in that are 30/50 amp pedestals! This was a great upgrade it needed to be done! Thwy only did some of the campground! Thwy also put new waterline in! What a joke! The new waterline are just laying behind the sites with huge tree trunks lying in front of them so nobody runs over them! Lazy and cheap looks cheap and scrappy! The reasoning was that the ground is too hard to put them underground! The employees are lazy and unprofessional!
Mar 29, 2024 · Anonymous AnonymousRobin hills campground was at a good location. The area was quiet and they had different activities throughout the day. The first night, we arrived on a Friday the bathroom looked really clean! Unfortunately as Saturday came it became disgusting. The bathroom was right next to the pool and everyone was using them. There was ripped up toilet paper on the ground, overflowing garbage, the floor was muddy and it was smelly. The shower had hairballs and was dirty. By Sunday we left and the bathroom was even worse.
Aug 15, 2023 · Amel ElsheakhI had the opportunity to spend a few days here within the last couple weeks. I had a blast.Guests, annuals, workers, everybody was so friendly and really cool to be around.I'm an avid fisherman and the pond there is awesome. There are so many nice fish in there, definitely worth sitting around all day in the sun.I also got to participate in the golf cart parade among other things and it was great. All around really awesome place. It's very hard to find the views this place offers. Also the bathrooms were extremely clean and didn't smell like butt. This place is a hidden gem.I saw firsthand how hard the workers work to keep this place going and make it the best time for everyone. It's like a close knit community, everybody always willing to help anybody in need or stop and say hello.I look forward to coming back again soon.
