Catering to All Camping Styles: Ragland Bottom Campground caters to a diverse range of camping preferences. For those who enjoy the traditional camping experience, spacious tent sites are available, some offering stunning panoramic lake vistas. However, be mindful that some of these hillside sites may involve navigating steep terrain to access amenities. For added convenience, some campers have found portable toilets helpful for hillside locations. On the other hand, RV enthusiasts will find well-maintained RV sites situated right on the lakefront, providing unparalleled views and easy access to the water.
Impeccable Amenities for a Comfortable Stay: Ragland Bottom prioritizes the comfort and convenience of its guests. The campground features clean and well-maintained restrooms and showers, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout your stay. Additionally, for those on longer trips or needing to freshen up, the availability of two washers and dryers is a significant convenience. These amenities contribute to a worry-free camping experience, allowing you to focus on enjoying the natural surroundings and recreational activities.
Fun for the Whole Family: Ragland Bottom Campground is designed to be a family-friendly destination. Kids will love the on-site playground, providing a safe and fun space to burn off energy. These recreational facilities ensure that there's always something to keep everyone entertained, fostering a sense of community and enjoyment among campers.
Lakeside Adventures Await: The direct access to Dale Hollow Lake is a major highlight of Ragland Bottom Campground. Spend your days swimming in the refreshing waters, exploring the shoreline by kayak or paddleboard, or simply relaxing by the water's edge. In the evenings, gather around a bonfire on the rocky beach, sharing stories and enjoying the warmth of the flames under the starlit sky. The abundance of driftwood makes it easy to create a memorable lakeside bonfire experience.

The friendly and helpful host, Tom, is frequently mentioned for his excellent service and welcoming demeanor. Many reviewers express their eagerness to return, some even planning longer stays to fully immerse themselves in the Ragland Bottom experience.
Important Considerations for Your Visit: While the hillside tent sites offer breathtaking views, it's important to be aware of the potentially steep inclines and longer distances to amenities. If you have mobility concerns or prefer easier access, it's advisable to inquire about campsite options that better suit your needs. The RV sites, being closer to the lake, generally offer more level terrain and convenient access.

RAGLAND BOTTOM Reviews
We stayed with multiple other family at this campground for 3 nights. It is a beautiful location and very peaceful. There are clean restrooms and showers. They also have a sand volleyball court, as well as a playground and basketball court. We tent camp on a hill down by the water. The camp site has an awesome view, but be prepared to do lots of walking up and down a steep hill! With that beautiful view of the lake comes a price- you have quite a hike to the restrooms! We brought portable toilets, so that helped avoid a middle of the night run up the hill! The host of the campground, Tom, was very nice and friendly! You can walk right down to the lake for a swim or kayak and paddleboard. We had a bonfire down on the rocky beach on the water one night, which was awesome, as there is plenty of driftwood to use. All in all, I would recommend this campground, but if you have anyone who has a hard time walking steep hills or long distances, choose your campsite wisely, if you're tent camping! They also had awesome looking rv sites that were right on the lake with great views!
Sep 13, 2024 · Laura WatsonVery nice campground, clean bathrooms with showers. Also had 2 washers and dryers to wash clothes. Very beautiful and quiet. Also had play ground for kids, basketball goal, and volleyball on sand court. Only stayed 2 nights, can't wait to go back next year and maybe stay whole week.
Oct 20, 2024 · geoffrey dotsonThe best campsite we’ve ever been too. Electricity and hot water 24 hours. Good amenities such as washer and dryer, kids playground, sand volleyball. Not to mention the lake view. Highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back again
May 27, 2024 · Sissi ZhuWhat a beautiful campground! Upon arriving we were greeted promptly and brought to our site. We had a tent site with amenities, on a flat surface , with fire ring, electric, water, a picnic table, a charcoal grill as well!Just a heads up for you tent campers, you can park somewhat near your site to unload, but not at your site, so you are forced to carry gear up, or down a very steep hill, uneven terrain, or stairs. Also the trek to the bathouse from the tent sites is uphill. I never saw this info when booking, so I'm sharing it here. This place is very kid and family friendly, the playground and day use area for swimming is great! We will definitely be back!!
Jun 10, 2024 · Cyn McKennaWe decided to take our new pontoon out on its Maiden voyage so we drove from Lascassas, TN to here and it was beautiful!! Also the TWRA are amazing!! They had to save us because we didn't think about checking the battery and ended up dead in the water🤦♀️! But it was still a fun, memorable trip! We will be going back!! We haven't camped there but plan to!
