One reviewer mentioned that "Paddle time was great as always," indicating the campground's proximity to excellent paddling waters. Another reviewer described the place as "beautiful," further emphasizing the scenic quality of the location. Rainbow Bend State Forest Campground Reviews
Always a great trip. We where the only ones there the weekend after labour day. Paddle time was great as always
Sep 15, 2018 · Nate PetrushaThis place is horrid. Stay away. You should never go here, especially camping with a canoe or a kayak 🤥😉. This place is beautiful and gets extremely crowded around holidays. Restrooms are clean and it's dog friendly as long as they're leashed and attended.
Sep 10, 2024 · Jason BlantonLegit. Vault toilets and access to the river. I would say not rv friendly, just my opinion. I mean you could maybe get in without damage.

Aug 23, 2022 · Francisco PérezIf you're looking to drop yourself into the middle of nature with no modern-day interruptions, this is your spot. It's along the river and is rustic. There is only 1 bathroom, no sink. No electricity or water hook up either. There are metal and concrete fire ring pits and very sturdy picnic tables. The spits are bigger than other campgrounds I've been to. As to atmosphere and nature.... put it this way: one night, we hear 2 owls calling back and forth in trees right next to our tent. I was told coyotes are around this area, but I didn't see or hear any the whole time I was there. The river is a quick moving current, but fishing is done there. I've even seen some kayakers coming down the river past the campground. There are no reservations for spots it's first come, first serve, but totally worth it.
