Based on glowing customer reviews, Ranch 3232 offers a strategic location, excellent facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal basecamp for exploring the region or enjoying a peaceful retreat close to home. While a direct phone number isn't provided in the reviews, the positive feedback strongly suggests a well-managed and accessible campground.
One of the standout features of Ranch 3232, repeatedly praised by visitors, is its incredibly convenient location. Described as a "great 'in-between' place," it boasts proximity to several key Texas Hill Country destinations. Campers appreciate being just "30 minutes from Austin" and "30 minutes from Fredericksburg," making it an ideal spot for those wanting to explore both vibrant cities. Furthermore, its location "10 minutes from Johnson City" provides easy access to local amenities and charm. Perhaps most notably for nature lovers, Ranch 3232 is situated "right outside the entrance to Pedernales State Park," offering unparalleled access to hiking, swimming, and the natural beauty of the park.
Beyond its prime location, Ranch 3232 shines in its commitment to cleanliness and hospitality. Reviewers consistently highlight that "the facilities are very very clean," which is a crucial aspect for a comfortable camping experience. The hosts are also lauded as "amazing," indicating a warm and welcoming environment where guests feel well taken care of. This personal touch can significantly enhance a camping trip, making it feel more like a home away from home.
Ranch 3232 offers diverse lodging options to cater to different preferences. One reviewer shared their experience staying in the "Bird House," also known as the "Gypsy Wagon." This unique accommodation was described as "just what we needed," providing "enough space to change and sleep." The emphasis on spending most of their time on the "rockers on the porch" suggests a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor living space associated with this particular lodging. Importantly, the "ac unit that more than cooled off the trailer" ensures comfort even during the Texas heat.
The sense of community at Ranch 3232 is another aspect that guests appreciate. One reviewer noted that "The community areas are nice to get to know your neighbors and everyone was very respectful." This fosters a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, enhancing the overall camping experience. The opportunity to connect with fellow travelers can be a rewarding part of staying at a campground.
For those planning to bring RVs or larger trailers, one review provides a helpful heads-up about the "hill entrance" being "very steep." While this particular camper "had no issue with it" and noted that "there were a couple of bigger trailers that had absolutely no issues," it's something to be aware of, especially for those with less experience towing larger vehicles. It might be prudent to inquire about the specifics of the entrance when booking if you have concerns about a large rig.
The positive experiences at Ranch 3232 have clearly created loyal customers, with one reviewer stating, "We will definitely frequent this site!" This speaks volumes about the quality and appeal of the campground.
Further emphasizing its proximity to natural attractions, another reviewer highlighted the "Great location only 2 miles from Perdenales Falls." This makes Ranch 3232 an exceptionally convenient base for exploring this popular natural landmark. Their visit during the "first weekend in January" revealed a "very quiet" campsite with only a few other people, suggesting that even during potentially cooler months, the campground offers a peaceful retreat. The reviewer also provided valuable insights into the communal facilities, noting that the "kitchen had plenty of cooking gear and a fridge for storage," along with a "hot plate, toaster, microwave." This indicates well-equipped communal spaces for meal preparation.
The bathroom facilities also received high praise, being described as "conveniently located and clean." The availability of "hot showers even in outdoor temps that were ~55F" is a significant comfort, especially during cooler times of the year. This reviewer concluded with a resounding "No complaints about anything," further solidifying the positive reputation of Ranch 3232.
Based on these detailed reviews, Ranch 3232 offers a compelling package for local users seeking "camping near me." Its environment is characterized by its strategic location near popular attractions and towns, offering a balance between natural beauty and accessibility. While not explicitly described as heavily wooded or secluded, its proximity to Pedernales State Park ensures access to natural landscapes. The facilities are consistently praised for their cleanliness and functionality, including a communal kitchen with cooking gear and refrigeration, clean and convenient bathrooms with hot showers, and even a washer and dryer for guest use. The unique lodging options, like the "Bird House" Gypsy Wagon with air conditioning, add to its charm and appeal.
Promotional information is not directly available in these reviews. To inquire about seasonal rates, local discounts, or any special packages for extended stays, it would be best to contact Ranch 3232 directly. Such a great "in-between" place. 30 minutes from Austin, 30 minutes from Fredericksburg, 10 minutes from Johnson City, and right outside the entrance to Pedernales State Park. The facilities are very very clean and the hosts are amazing. They even have a washer and drier in case you don't want to take home dirty clothes! We stayed in the "Bird House" aka the Gypsy Wagon. It was just what we needed. Enough space to change and sleep. We spent most of our time on the rockers on the porch. There was an ac unit that more than cooled off the trailer. They are above and beyond for sure! The community areas are nice to get to know your neighbors and everyone was very respectful. We had no issue with it but the hill entrance is very steep. I could see someone with a large trailer struggling. With that said there were a couple of bigger trailers that had absolutely no issues. We will definitely frequent this site!
Apr 21, 2025 · Ashlea PiersonGreat location only 2 miles from Perdenales Falls. Was there first weekend in January and campsite was very quiet, only maybe 4 other people there. The facilities were great - kitchen had plenty of cooking gear and a fridge for storage (though we didn't use any of it other than toaster). Also a hot plate, toaster, microwave. Bathrooms were conveniently located and clean. Showers were hot even in outdoor temps that were ~55F. No complaints about anything.
Jan 07, 2025 · Andrew “ASK” KintonBeautiful camp ground, excellent cabins. Honeymooned by the Park. 30 years later, we came back to the Falls, and this diamond was there just waiting to be appreciated. I deeply recommend this place. It is close to everything.
Jan 30, 2025 · Robert ReichardtWe loved it. Just what we needed. Didn't stay there much cuz we were busy doing other things, but the grandsons loved the loft! Perfect for a trip to the hill country!
Apr 04, 2025 · Linda ParmerWe stayed last year and it was a great experience. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the hill to get in was very sketchy. Extremely steep. Thankful we had 4x4 pulling our camper. If you don't have a camper to towe you should be fine. We seen cars and mini vans get out just fine. There facilities was so clean, and is easily comparable to buc-ees restrooms. "So clean it will make mom happy" I loved the friendliness in the common area. Everyone taking turns in the kitchen just felt like such a great community. We plan to go back again this year.
