Jan 03, 2025 · Yash BahetiPerfect place for a mid spring fishing trip. Lots of walleye, even just bank fishing. Decent pearch, too.Campground is very well maintained by the on-site disciplined managers. Hats off to them for organization and dedication. The backside of the cabin, with the fire pit, grill, and picnic table... perfect and private. Can't wait to go back.*The state should consider some type of ground radius utility light shades to reduce light pollution on permanent building structures. You know where you are when approaching buildings. You don't need a radiant blinding light in all directions. I found that extremely irritable while sitting on the front porch of a rental cabin in the middle of the Allegheny Forest. That defeats the purpose...
May 31, 2024 · Jager FischerAs a gift my parents rented the lot #20 cabin for me. This was the biggest of 3 cabins. It is a 2 story with a couch that I believe can be pulled out (I didn't use though) and a double and two single's upstairs. There is a bathroom that has toilet, shower, sink and the door is sliding with no lock.Kitchen includes a sink, coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven and a portable two burner, small refrigerator/freezer. Air conditioning on both floors. A hardwood picnic table with a bench seat and two stools. A porch on both floors. Wheel chair access. It was wonderful!Outside there is a picnic table in the back, a fire ring and a BBQ for burgers, etc. A trail leads to the reservoir. The campground space is excellent. Most seem capable of supporting two tents and most have good tree coverage to provide shading. Sites on the outer ring towards the water have trails leading to the reservoir. Between sites #48 and #50 there is a public trail leading to the water. There are also some walk in sites. Some of these seem to be a little smaller but secluded away. These are the last campsites.Firewood and ice can be bought from the camp hosts at site #15.
Jul 10, 2024 · Dave KellerAbsolutely love it here. It's a smaller campground that's for sure but it is secluded, quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. This was the first place we came with our camper and it was perfect. Our site was dry but it was right next to the reservoir. I don't remember any hiking trails but it's a nice place for the kids to roam around in the woods..
Oct 20, 2023 · Stephen SwidarskiI really liked cabin 17 we were at. I would have loved to stay on the top bunk but it was too cramped for me. The shower only had 2 minutes of warm water for a shower so be prepared for an ice cold shower. It was really nice otherwise. It had a/c, heat, microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, really nice furniture to lounge on. I loved the space between the sites, you had your privacy. You can buy wood and ice on site as well. There's a lake a little walk away to relax and fish too. We're definitely coming back!! 🥰
