Reehers Camp Introduce
Are you on the lookout for "camping near me" that offers access to excellent hiking trails? Reehers Camp, located in Timber, Oregon (address: NW Cochran Rd. (45.706922, -123.338142), near 57700 NW Sunset Hwy, Timber, OR 97144, USA), presents itself as a potential option. You can reach them at phone number (503) 357-2191 or mobile phone +1 503-357-2191 for more information.
Based on the limited information available from customer reviews, the environment around Reehers Camp is conducive to hiking. One reviewer mentioned "great hiking" and a "pretty good trailhead that’s a little far off the highway." This suggests that the primary draw of Reehers Camp, at least according to this feedback, is its access to scenic trails and the natural beauty of the surrounding area near Timber, Oregon. The fact that the trailhead is a bit removed from the highway could imply a more secluded and immersive hiking experience away from immediate roadside noise.
However, another review paints a different picture regarding accessibility. This customer reported difficulty in finding the camp, mentioning traveling down a gravel road to areas with locked gates and seeing signs for campgrounds, leading to a feeling of being misled and unable to visit. This feedback raises a potential concern about the clarity of directions or possible access restrictions to Reehers Camp. The reviewer expressed frustration, stating they believed there should be a better system to avoid such issues. While they acknowledged the potential loveliness of the trails, they were ultimately unable to experience them due to these access problems.
Given these contrasting experiences, it's challenging to provide a definitive description of the services and features of Reehers Camp as a campground itself. The positive review focuses solely on the hiking and trailhead, not mentioning camping facilities. Conversely, the negative review doesn't comment on the campground amenities because the reviewer couldn't gain access. Therefore, we lack specific details about the number of campsites, types of sites (tent, RV), available amenities (restrooms, water, fire pits, picnic tables), or any specific features of the camping area.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The appeal of Reehers Camp, based on one review, seems to be its proximity to "great hiking" and a "pretty good trailhead." For local users interested in "camping near me" primarily for hiking, this might still be attractive. However, the issue of potential access difficulties, as highlighted by the other review, is a significant factor to consider.
For local users considering Reehers Camp for a camping and hiking trip, it would be prudent to call the provided phone numbers ((503) 357-2191 or +1 503-357-2191) to get up-to-date information on the campground's exact location, accessibility (including any gate information or specific directions), and the availability and nature of camping facilities. Inquiring about the hiking trails directly might also provide a clearer picture of what to expect.
In summary, Reehers Camp, located near Timber, Oregon, appears to be associated with "great hiking" and a "pretty good trailhead" according to one review. However, another user reported significant issues with access due to locked gates and unclear directions. Without further information, it's difficult to provide a comprehensive introduction to the campground's environment, services, and features. Local users searching for "camping near me" with a focus on hiking should be aware of the potential access concerns raised in one of the reviews and are strongly advised to contact Reehers Camp directly for the most accurate and current information regarding location and accessibility.
The discrepancy in the reviews highlights the importance of seeking current and detailed information before planning a visit. While the allure of "great hiking" is present, the potential for access issues cannot be ignored. If hiking is your priority when looking for "camping near me," Reehers Camp might still be a viable option if you can confirm clear access and perhaps get more details about the trailhead mentioned.
It's also worth noting the coordinates provided: (45.706922, -123.338142). These might be helpful in conjunction with a GPS device to locate the area. However, the conflicting experience with locked gates suggests that relying solely on coordinates might not guarantee access to the campground itself. Direct communication with Reehers Camp via the provided phone number is highly recommended to clarify the location and any access procedures.
In conclusion, for local users seeking "camping near me" with the promise of good hiking, Reehers Camp warrants further investigation. Contacting them directly will be crucial to ascertain the current accessibility situation and to gather details about the camping facilities and the "pretty good trailhead" mentioned in the positive review. Be sure to inquire about the best way to reach the campground and whether there are any specific instructions or potential obstacles like locked gates to be aware of before your visit. This will help ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Reehers Camp Reviews
Couldn't find it. I traveled down a gravel road to areas with locked gates. I saw signs for campgrounds. I believe there should be a better system so people don't get misled. I'm sure the trails are lovely, but I wasn't allowed to visit due to locked gates. Imprison Americans parks.👎

Oct 24, 2024 · Ben EldienI am the camp host at Reehers and I don't think there is a more beautiful place to camp in the Tillamook forest. There is access to the Nehalem river (headwaters, so it is more like a stream), hiking trails for the novice and the more experienced, camping with a hand pump for WATER, vault toilets, and fire rings. There are 7 sites for non-horse owners that are spacious and semi-private. There are 10 sites for horse owners that contain well built corrals and plenty of room for your living-quarters trailer. Both loops have one pull through site. Just beyond our camp is a large staging area for horses, bike riders, and hikers with 4 picnic areas and two fire rings. We also have a shelter for larger groups! Nothing beats spending time in the forests of the coastal mountains. It is peaceful here and everyone is always pleasantly surprised when they find our little haven in the woods. So, if you enjoy peaceful tranquility with enjoyment for the whole family - come on up! Note: this is a first-come, first serve campground but in general non-horse sites only fill up on the weekends. Horse camp almost always has availability. If driving here during the week, keep a watch for log trucks on the road. Remember to be curtious to you neighbor. We like to keep a happy, peaceful camp!
Apr 13, 2019 · Lillian CochranThere's a little boring hike ,without any viewpoints. There are places for horses, maybe this camp is more interesting people with horses.
