Riverfront Campground & Canoe

Our group rented a raft from Riverfront Campground & Canoe, and while the river itself offered calm waters and beautiful views, the overall experience had some significant drawbacks. We were informed about a crucial 90-degree turn we needed to be aware of to stay on the correct route. However, when we inquired about the location of this turn and how far we might travel before reaching it, the staff stated they didn't know. Surprisingly, they also did not provide us with a map. In my opinion, a map is an essential tool for any river rental to ensure guests can navigate with confidence. This lack of information caused considerable stress throughout our trip, as we were constantly second-guessing whether we had reached the 90-degree point.Furthermore, the end of our designated route presented an unexpected obstacle. There was a canoe left abandoned in the mud, significantly blocking the passage. Our eight-person raft couldn't navigate around it. Thankfully, we had four men in our group who were able to get out and physically drag the canoe out of the mud so we could continue. However, I couldn't help but think about what would have happened if our group had been smaller or less physically capable, such as just the seven women who were initially part of our party. We would have been stranded and unable to complete our trip. - Negar Jahanbakhsh Javid
