Riverside Park & Campground Introduce
For local residents in the New Lisbon, Wisconsin area seeking "camping near me" that offers a blend of convenience and natural surroundings, Riverside Park & Campground presents a noteworthy option. Located at Hog Island Rd, New Lisbon, WI 53950, USA, this campground has received positive feedback for its accessibility, particularly for those traveling through, and its provision of essential amenities. While some environmental factors like noise and insects have been mentioned, its affordability and helpful management make it a contender for a local camping getaway.
The environment of Riverside Park & Campground is characterized by its location near a river and its proximity to Interstate. The address on "Hog Island Rd" suggests that at least part of the campground might be situated on an island or a peninsula along a river, potentially offering waterfront access and scenic views. One reviewer mentions camping "on the island," indicating a specific area within the campground. However, this island location is also noted to be potentially "soggy" and prone to "plenty of mosquitos," suggesting that insect repellent and appropriate footwear might be necessary, especially during certain times of the year. The proximity to the interstate, while offering easy access, is also mentioned as a source of "highway noise," which might be a consideration for those particularly sensitive to sound. On the other hand, the presence of birds, while natural, is also noted as a potential source of morning noise for some. Despite these environmental factors, the overall setting likely offers a blend of natural beauty associated with a riverside location and the convenience of being near a major transportation route.
The services at Riverside Park & Campground appear to cater to a range of camping needs. A significant advantage highlighted in the reviews is the availability of "water/electric hookups" at a relatively affordable price of "$25/nt," making it particularly attractive for RV campers and those who appreciate having these conveniences. The presence of a "dump station on the way out" is another valuable service for RV travelers. For tent campers, the option to camp "on the island" is mentioned at an even lower price of "$7/ tent," indicating budget-friendly options are available. The positive feedback regarding the "Mgr, Cindy," who was described as "fantastic and quick to help" in finding a suitable spot, especially for late arrivals with larger vehicles, suggests a well-managed and accommodating campground. The friendliness and helpfulness of the "people" at the campground also contribute to a positive service experience. While TV channel reception was noted as non-existent, the "Verizon service was 5G excellent," which is a significant amenity for those needing to stay connected. The campground is also described as "clean and very well kept," indicating attention to maintenance and hygiene.
The features of Riverside Park & Campground contribute to its appeal for different types of campers. Its location "right off interstate" is a major feature, providing easy access for those traveling through or local residents seeking a quick and convenient camping destination. The availability of both "water/electric hookups" for RVs and more "primitive style camping" options for tents on the island caters to a diverse range of preferences. The "spacious" nature of the campsites, particularly the electric ones, is a noted advantage. The riverfront location, implied by the name and reviews, likely offers opportunities for fishing, boating (if access is provided), and enjoying the riverside scenery. The lower cost for tent camping on the island ($7/night) is a significant feature for budget-conscious travelers. The excellent Verizon 5G service is a notable feature for those who need reliable internet connectivity. The cleanliness and well-kept nature of the campground enhance the overall camping experience. While the highway noise and mosquitoes on the island are mentioned as drawbacks, the combination of affordability, accessibility, and essential amenities makes Riverside Park & Campground a practical choice for many.
Regarding promotional information, the customer reviews provide some insight into the pricing structure, with tent sites on the island costing $7 per night and sites with water/electric hookups priced at $25 per night. This relatively low pricing could be considered a form of promotional value, especially for those seeking budget-friendly "camping near me" options. However, no specific discounts, seasonal rates, or special packages are mentioned in the provided reviews. To obtain information about potential promotions, local users would need to contact Riverside Park & Campground directly using the provided phone numbers: (608) 562-3534 or mobile phone +1 608-562-3534. It's possible that they offer discounts for longer stays, off-season rates, or special offers for local residents. Inquiring about any potential deals when making a reservation is always a good practice. Given its appeal as a convenient and relatively inexpensive option, especially for travelers, any additional promotions could further enhance its attractiveness for local campers as well.
In conclusion, Riverside Park & Campground near New Lisbon, Wisconsin, offers a convenient "camping near me" experience with a mix of accessibility and essential amenities. Its location right off the interstate makes it easily reachable, and the availability of water/electric hookups at a reasonable price caters well to RV campers. The more budget-friendly tent sites on the island offer a different camping style, albeit with potential environmental considerations like mosquitoes and sogginess. The helpful and friendly management, along with the clean and well-kept grounds, contribute to a positive stay. While some noise from birds and the highway might be present, the overall value, especially for those needing hookups or seeking an affordable tent site, makes Riverside Park & Campground a worthwhile consideration for local camping getaways. To learn about any current promotional offers or specific site details, contacting the campground directly is recommended.

Riverside Park & Campground Reviews
It's good for what it is but it's pretty loud in the morning from birds and highway noise, and there were plenty of mosquitos on the island. It can be a bit soggy on the island too. Relatively cheap camping though ($7/ tent on the island)
Jul 25, 2024 · Emma SherwoodThis is a great campground. Mgr, Cindy, was fantastic and quick to help us find the right spot for our 5th wheel when we rolled in later than expected and in the dark. The people were very friendly and helpful. It’s right off interstate, has water/electric hookups for only $25/nt. Dump station on the way out. Verizon service was 5G excellent. No TV channels came in. Clean and very well kept.We stayed for one night traveling through but would definitely return.
Sep 30, 2023 · AMBERThis is a lovely little campground, very well kept and very clean. And super cheap for the night at $25. There's water and electric and the grass was neat and freshly mowed when I was there. The only little negative is the highway noise but it's far away that it's like a background drone.
Oct 06, 2023 · S TanWe dropped anchor here for one night on our way from Minnesota to Nashville, TN. It's right off the Interstate and easy to find. The manager lives here in the campground and was readily available when we rolled in around 5 PM. This is a beautiful city owned campground and park. The sites are all water/electric only, and there is a dump station on your way out. Everything looks brand new and you can't beat the rates. We pulled into a site with our class A and it was long enough that we didn't have to unhook the towed. Cell service on AT&T and Verizon are excellent as is the campground wifi. Off air TV reception is pretty much non-existent so you'll just have to curl up with a book for entertainment. If we come through here again, you can bet we'll plan to drop anchor here again.
Jun 05, 2023 · Rick MarkeyMy wife and I did two overnight stays here. The first was on our way to Michigan on May 31 and the second on our way back June 4. I used the public restroom and shower’s. Both were very clean! The sites are grass but very nicely kept. The campground Host we’re very friendly and accommodating!!! Will use again if ever in the area!!!
