Riverside RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Riverside RV Park, situated at 216 Spinel St, Kemmerer, WY 83101, USA. For local users searching within the 'camping near me' category, especially those planning to explore the unique attractions of the Kemmerer area, Riverside RV Park offers a welcoming and well-equipped base. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground provides a blend of convenience, natural beauty, and friendly service, making it a noteworthy option for both short and potentially longer stays.
One reviewer described Riverside RV Park as "a quiet place to spend a night or two" for those engaged in activities such as side-by-side riding on the numerous forest service and national forest roads in the vicinity, or for those visiting the renowned Fossil Lake to hunt for fossils. This highlights the park's strategic location for outdoor enthusiasts and those interested in paleontological exploration. The proximity to these attractions makes it an ideal choice for campers looking to immerse themselves in the natural wonders of Wyoming.
The same review also praised the practical amenities offered at Riverside RV Park, noting the availability of "30/50A hookups, sewer, water and flat, asphalt parking pads," which were described as making setup "a breeze." These full hookups cater to the needs of modern RVs, providing essential utilities for a comfortable stay. The flat, asphalt pads ensure level parking, a significant convenience for RV owners. While the reviewer mentioned that the spots are "a little narrow for slides," they also indicated that it is manageable. This is a point for RVers with larger slide-outs to consider.
Addressing a potential concern, the reviewer pointed out that while several reviews mentioned a nearby rail line, the trains do not blow their horns within town due to the absence of street-to-rail intersections. This is valuable information for light sleepers who might be concerned about train noise, suggesting that Riverside RV Park benefits from its location relative to the railway.
It is important to note, as the reviewer confirmed from the website, that Riverside RV Park does not offer showers or laundry facilities on-site. However, this is mitigated by the close proximity of Kemmerer, where "there are several restaurants to choose from and a nice grocery store for supplies." This accessibility to town amenities provides a convenient solution for these needs, ensuring that campers have access to essential services without having to travel far.
Another enthusiastic review described Riverside RV Park as having a "very nice location in Kemmerer, right along the river and wildlife areas." This further emphasizes the park's appealing natural setting, offering potential for scenic views and opportunities for wildlife observation. The reviewer also highlighted the "long, pull-thru sites that have been paved with full hook-ups," reiterating the convenience and quality of the parking and utility infrastructure. Pull-thru sites are particularly advantageous for larger RVs, as they eliminate the need for backing in.
A significant aspect of the positive experience reported by this reviewer was the owner, Gordon, who was described as "super nice and friendly, offering assistance in any way." Such personal and helpful service can greatly enhance a camper's stay, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. The reviewer's overall impression was overwhelmingly positive, stating they "LOVED this little-known area in Wyoming!" and expressing their intention to return on their next fossil hunting trip, further solidifying Riverside RV Park's appeal for visitors to the region.

Riverside RV Park Reviews
A quiet place to spend a night or two if you're side by side riding the many forest service/national forest roads in the area or hunting fossils at Fossil Lake. 30/50A hookups, sewer, water and flat, asphalt parking pads make set up a breeze. The spots are a little narrow for slides but you can make them work. Several reviews mentioned the rail line nearby but the trains don't blow the horns because there are no street to rail intersections in town. As the website reads, there are no showers or laundry available. Kemmerer is close and there are several restaurants to choose from and a nice grocery store for supplies. We enjoyed our stay and not only recommend but will stay here again on our next fossil hunting trip.
Aug 12, 2024 · Ray MathewsVery nice location in Kemmerer, right along the river and wildlife areas. Sites are long, pull-thru sites that have been paved with full hook-ups. Owner, Gordon, is super nice and friendly, offering assistance in any way. LOVED this little-known area in Wyoming!
Sep 28, 2024 · Richard StraussWe enjoyed our stay at Riverside. It's tucked away in a neighborhood outside Kemmerer proper, but only minutes away. We had a shady back-in site with the river up a small hill behind us. There are picnic tables and benches along the river behind the back-in sites, but not at individual sites. FHU worked fine. Reservations made online and it was a little confusing on arrival since there's no one in the office. You have to text (calling didn't work) to let them know you're there, then they will call with info. Worked out fine.
Jul 10, 2024 · Mev WPicturesque surroundings for this creekside campground. Rv must be self contained, as there are no restrooms or showers. Quiet at night, was able to sleep peacefully.
Oct 08, 2024 · Rebecca KostenbaderReally nice small park. Plenty of room to pull in and pull through. No bathrooms but full hookups are available with fifty amp service. Very quiet and close to fishing and fossil hunting. Owners of the park were very professional and patient. Great place to see while you are rock hounding or fishing in western wyoming.
