Robinson Bluff Climbing Area Reviews
What a great climbing experience! I wanna dirtbag here. Tons of solid documented routes on limestone! Reminiscent of shelf road (CO) climbing but with an easy-short approach, disc golf, MB trails, great amenities, camping, beautiful views, friendly owner and volunteers that have put so much work and love into this place it's unreal. I have never seen nor been to a place such as this. I could not be more appreciative for them sharing this resource to the public for a small fee. If I lived in Missouri I would absolutely help and do what I could to help maintaining this wonderful area. This is a paradise place for me. If I'm passing through again I will be back.
Oct 24, 2024 · Patrick LIf you like outdoor climbing, you have come to the right place. Just remember you have to climb a considerable amount of stairs to get back up so keep the weight in your bag low but bring water and snacks. And take a hard hat.
Jul 25, 2023 · Steven HollisThis is a great climbing area for a few reasons. Honestly the crag itself isn’t super huge but boasts a high density of bolted routes for the area, easily over 170 lines. Routes range from easy 5th to 5.12 and above. There are many route markers to help climbers get oriented on the wall and the Mountain Project beta seems accurate, not sure if they have a guide book yet, or if it’s even necessary. The vibe is similar to that of Muir Valley in the Red River Gorge area. A $10 fee allows for easy access infrastructure, there’s a nice parking lot, porta John, and nice stairs and trails down to the crag.
Jun 01, 2021 · Logan ShelagowskiMe and my wife loved it both repelling and rock climbing. Always felt safe and informed. Our guide John was knowledgeable and very nice. And it supports the local economy. I highly recommend this for a day of fun.
May 11, 2023 · Michael JohnsonI live about 5 min farther from St Louis than this place, & it takes me an hour & 5 min. to get from Lambert Airport to my home. You won't even notice the drive because it's beautiful once you cross the Jefferson County line all the way into Washington County where this place resides. It's as Ozark as any place in MO.You will love the atmosphere & relief. It will make an outdoor person out of you.
