Rockin' R River Rides - The Double Introduce
Looking for a campground near you in New Braunfels, Texas, that offers direct access to the river for a refreshing escape? Rockin' R River Rides - The Double, located at 1321 River Terrace, New Braunfels, TX 78130, USA, presents itself as a potential option for those seeking a riverside camping experience. You can reach them for inquiries and reservations at (830) 629-9999 or their mobile number +1 830-629-9999.
As a listing under the "camping near me" category, Rockin' R River Rides - The Double likely appeals to local users seeking campgrounds with convenient access to water-based activities. The name itself suggests a strong connection to the river, hinting at opportunities for swimming, tubing, or simply enjoying the riverside environment. This focus on river access is a significant feature for many campers, especially during the hot Texas summer months.
Based on the limited customer reviews available, we can glean some initial impressions of the campground. One reviewer mentioned having a "great time relaxing on the river with the family" and expressed an intention to return. This positive feedback highlights the appeal of the location for family outings and suggests that the riverside setting contributes to a relaxing experience. The river appears to be a central draw, offering a space for leisure and recreation that campers appreciate.
However, another reviewer noted that the campground was "not as much room as I thought there’d be and it gets pretty crowded." This observation provides a contrasting perspective, indicating that while the river access is a significant advantage, the campground itself might have limited space and can become crowded, particularly during peak seasons. Local users considering Rockin' R River Rides - The Double should be aware of this potential for congestion, especially if they prioritize spacious campsites or a more secluded camping experience.
Despite the potential for crowds, the second reviewer also acknowledged a key benefit of the location: "it beats the summer heat to dip your feet in some nice water sometimes." This reinforces the value of the river access as a way to cool down and enjoy the natural surroundings during the warmer months. For those in the "camping near me" vicinity looking for a respite from the Texas heat, a campground with direct river access offers a compelling advantage.
Given the name "Rockin' R River Rides," it's plausible that the campground also offers river tubing or other related services. Many campgrounds situated along popular Texas rivers provide tube rentals and shuttle services, enhancing the overall river experience for their guests. While this is not explicitly stated in the provided information, it is a reasonable inference based on the name and the riverside location. Local users interested in river tubing should inquire directly with the campground about the availability of such services.
To provide a more comprehensive introduction, we can consider the typical features and services offered by campgrounds in the "camping near me" category. These often include designated campsites for tents and/or RVs, restroom facilities, and potentially showers. Depending on the campground, there might also be picnic tables, fire pits or grilling areas at each site, and communal amenities such as water spigots and trash disposal. Without specific information for Rockin' R River Rides - The Double, we can only assume the presence of basic camping infrastructure.
The environment surrounding Rockin' R River Rides - The Double is likely characterized by its proximity to the river. This could mean a landscape with mature trees providing shade, grassy areas for campsites, and the natural sounds of flowing water. The specific type of river access (e.g., gradual entry, boat ramp, rocky banks) would be important information for potential campers, especially those with young children or specific accessibility needs. Local users familiar with the Guadalupe River will likely have some expectations regarding the typical river environment in this area.
Regarding promotional information, none was provided in the initial message. However, campgrounds often offer various promotions, such as discounts for extended stays, seasonal specials, or package deals that might include river tubing or other activities. Local users are advised to check the campground's website (if available) or contact them directly to inquire about any current offers or deals that might enhance their camping experience.
In summary, Rockin' R River Rides - The Double offers a riverside camping experience in New Braunfels, Texas, making it a potentially attractive option for those searching under the "camping near me" category, particularly families and individuals looking to enjoy the Guadalupe River. While one review highlights the relaxing river access, another points out that the campground can be crowded and might have less space than expected. Potential campers should weigh these factors and consider their own preferences for space and tranquility versus direct river access. For detailed information about campsite types, amenities, river services, and any current promotions, contacting Rockin' R River Rides - The Double directly at (830) 629-9999 is recommended.

Had a great time relaxing on the river with the family! Will definitely come back.
Sep 19, 2018 · J. GarciaNot as much room as I thought there’d be and it gets pretty crowded, but it beats the summer heat to dip your feet in some nice water sometimes.
Jul 05, 2024 · I GonzWe evacuated to New Braunsfel from the Beaumont area due to Hurricane Laura. We had so much fun in new Braunsfel, but I have to say, this place was such a highlight. We came here in the late afternoons to just sit in the water and let our youngest play. If you want a nice quiet location to hang out in the water, this is the place. The owner was so kind to give us a huge discount too since we evacuated and only came for the late afternoon. Thanks so much Double Rockin R Camp!
Sep 06, 2020 · Lori GoatsSo we were going to meet family here that were camping so we could float the river together and they said I had to pay $40 to enter on top of floating costs and that they are running a business not a charity. I understand paying a day pass or something but not the camp fee just to enter and visit for a couple hours before our float trip. I’m disappointed we drove 4 hours to be told this. Maybe they should look how texas parks and wildlife does their day passes for those who aren’t camping and put a better system in place. And the ladies were rude when I said you guys are going to get a poor google review from me she said google reviews don’t matter to us we make money regardless. Total arrogance on their part
Jul 27, 2019 · chris garciacampsite with showers that you can reserve space ahead of time, or just come here to float. they take great care of you, can't beat $20 for shuttle cost, city fee, and tube. the most common is the 3 hour float that ends at this location, they shuttle you to the starting point once you're checked in and paid. theres longer floats when the season is good. the shop has everything you need for floating - sunscreen, big hats, those cases for phones, croakies, good beer selection, water bottles, snacks. love the people who work here too, most amazing ladies ever!
