The environment surrounding 2ND-XNG Camp is characterized by its proximity to the Guadalupe River, a significant natural attraction in the region. The Guadalupe River is renowned for its clear waters and recreational opportunities, including tubing, swimming, and fishing. Camping near the river often provides easy access for these activities, allowing campers to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. The landscape of the Texas Hill Country typically features rolling hills, mature trees, and diverse wildlife, contributing to a potentially pleasant outdoor setting for campers seeking a natural retreat close to home. The "camping near me" platform often highlights campgrounds based on their natural surroundings and access to local attractions like rivers and parks.
Based on the limited information available, including a few customer reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the services and features offered at 2ND-XNG Camp. One positive review mentions a friendly staff member named Salem, who is described as "super sweet" and helpful, suggesting that at least some aspects of customer service are well-received. This review also notes the opportunity to enjoy nature and go tubing, indicating that river access is likely a key feature of the campground. The mention of meeting Salem's cat adds a unique, personal touch to the experience for some visitors.
However, other reviews present a contrasting perspective. One reviewer expresses dissatisfaction, stating that they would not recommend the place for those looking to have a good time due to numerous rules that allegedly create an environment where relaxation is difficult. This review mentions concerns about feeling restricted and the potential for warnings for seemingly minor behaviors, even during daytime hours. The reviewer also recounts feeling unsafe due to the owner's alleged anger and aggression towards their family.
Another review describes a negative experience culminating in the involvement of the sheriff's department and being asked to leave. This review raises serious allegations regarding the enforcement of rules, particularly concerning music and perceived biases. The user disputes the campground's account of the situation, claiming that the issue was solely the volume of the music and refuting accusations of playing sexually explicit content or promoting disrespect. This review paints a picture of a potentially contentious environment for some visitors.
Given the conflicting nature of these limited reviews, it is difficult to objectively detail the full range of services and features available at 2ND-XNG Camp. Potential services that are commonly offered at campgrounds, and may be available here, include:
- Campsites for tents and/or RVs: The proximity to the river suggests the availability of various types of camping accommodations.
- Restroom facilities: Basic hygiene facilities are typically provided at campgrounds.
- Potable water access: Access to drinking water is essential for campers.
- Fire pits or barbecue areas: Opportunities for campfires and outdoor cooking are common features.
- River access: Direct or facilitated access to the Guadalupe River for recreational activities.
However, the negative reviews raise concerns about the enforcement of rules, the potential for a restrictive atmosphere, and allegations of unprofessional or even hostile interactions with the management. These accounts suggest that the experience at 2ND-XNG Camp might be highly dependent on individual expectations and interactions with the staff and owners.

2ND-XNG Camp Reviews
Just spent some of the day at this camp tubing and enjoying nature. The staff, Salem the cats owner, was super sweet. I even got to meet her cat. She answered our questions. And provided excellent customer service. I look forward to camping here in the near future.
Apr 26, 2025 · Krystella RangelI do not recommend this place if you are looking to have a good time. You will feel like you cannot relax without being worried about breaking one of the 50 rules. Would not consider being a high-paying customer. Family oriented, non-alcoholic games are prohibited as well being you will be warned to not show excitement while elders are trying to sleep at 2pm in the afternoon. The owner of this campsite made myself and the children in my family feel unsafe as he showed anger and aggression towards our family.Right, encouraged to leave by the sheriffs department as we had already been packing up 4 days worth of food, clothes, equipment, etc. We had been asked 10 minutes before they showed up. As you quoted that children should not be listening to Cardi B. Would you please name a song that was played that mentioned any kind of sexual parts or sexual interactions? And not a song that was about black culture making it in life. Please don’t confuse your racism with us not complying with your wants. Your problem was the volume of the music, that is what got us kicked out and AS we were packing, The notorious B.I.G had played. This Camp-sites reply is very misleading.
