S'more Family Fun Park Introduce
When searching for "camping near me" in the Hyde Park, VT area, S'more Family Fun Park, located at 1781 Vermont Rte 100, Hyde Park, VT 05655, USA, presents itself as a destination offering various recreational activities alongside camping. To provide local users with an objective understanding, this introduction is based on the limited customer feedback available online.
S'more Family Fun Park can be contacted at (802) 888-7788 or +1 802-888-7788. These phone numbers may be used to inquire about camping availability, specific amenities, and current conditions.
Based on the available reviews, S'more Family Fun Park appears to offer a combination of recreational facilities and camping grounds. One reviewer mentions a mini-golf course, noting that it "isn't always well maintained." This suggests that while the amenity exists, its upkeep may be inconsistent. The same review highlights the presence of a swimming pool, describing it as "nice" and "well maintained," although it is noted to be "not huge" and operates without a lifeguard on duty. The absence of a lifeguard implies that users swim at their own risk, and supervision of children is the sole responsibility of accompanying adults.
The availability of "golf carts" with a "nice setup that looks fun" is also mentioned. This suggests that golf carts may be available for rent or use within the park, potentially offering a convenient way to navigate the grounds or adding to the recreational aspect of the visit. The campground itself is noted to be "towards the back" of the property. Grills are mentioned as being available in a "picnic part in front," indicating a designated area for outdoor cooking, although it's not explicitly stated whether these grills are accessible to campers in the back.
However, a more critical review paints a less favorable picture of S'more Family Fun Park. This reviewer states that the park is "not well maintained" and raises a significant concern regarding the electrical infrastructure, reporting that "the power keeps surging and most of the time you cannot use much power." This issue could severely impact campers relying on electricity for their RVs or other devices, potentially affecting lighting, appliances, and overall comfort. The reviewer further alleges that the owner prioritizes socializing ("party with a group") over maintaining the campground and that the "office is never opened." These are serious accusations regarding the management and upkeep of the facility.
Adding to the negative feedback, the same reviewer claims that "last year the pool was seldom cleaned," directly contradicting the positive comment about the pool's current maintenance. This discrepancy highlights the potential for inconsistent conditions or differing experiences over time. The reviewer concludes by labeling the park as "just a party place for the owner and friends," suggesting a lack of focus on the needs and comfort of paying guests.
Regarding the environment, the limited reviews do not provide a detailed description of the natural surroundings of the campground. The mention of the campground being "towards the back" implies a separation from the other recreational facilities at the front, but there is no information about the size of the camping area, the spacing between sites, or the presence of trees or other natural features.
Information about specific services and features for campers is also scarce. While grills are mentioned in the picnic area, it is unclear if there are dedicated amenities for campers such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or specific RV hookups beyond the reported unreliable power supply. The lack of mention of these essential camping facilities in the reviews could be interpreted in various ways – either they are basic and unremarkable, or their condition is not noteworthy enough to be mentioned, or information is simply lacking in these brief reviews.
No promotional information or special offers are mentioned in the provided text. Therefore, local users searching for "camping near me" will need to rely solely on these limited and conflicting reviews to form an initial impression of S'more Family Fun Park. The significant concerns raised in one of the reviews regarding maintenance, power issues, and management practices should be carefully considered.
In conclusion, S'more Family Fun Park in Hyde Park, VT, appears to be a campground with associated recreational activities like mini-golf and a pool. However, the available customer feedback presents a mixed picture. While one reviewer found the pool nice and noted the fun-looking golf carts, another described the park as poorly maintained with unreliable power, an often-closed office, and a potentially neglected pool in the past. The discrepancy in these reviews and the serious allegations made in the negative feedback warrant caution. Local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh these points carefully and potentially seek more recent and comprehensive reviews or contact the park directly to inquire about the current conditions and services before making a reservation. The lack of consistent positive feedback and the specific issues raised suggest that further investigation is advisable to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.

S'more Family Fun Park Reviews
Mini golf isn't always well maintained, but the pool is nice. Not huge, but pool well maintained, no lifeguard on duty. Golf carts have a nice setup that looks fun. Campground is towards the back. Grills available in picnic part in front.
Dec 27, 2017 · Dax MarshelNot well maintained. The power keeps surging and most of the time you cannot use much power. That’s all the owner does is party with a group instead of maintains the campground. Office is never opened and last year the pool was seldom cleaned. Just a party place for the owner and friends
Apr 22, 2022 · Bonnie BowenI came here to the go-kart track and bought some souvees back in 2012 when the last people owned it. I was surprised to see it closed when I was up here from Maryland in 2014 and now after coming across that it is open again and is looking awesome, I will definitely put this place on the must-stop list the next time I'm in Vermont! Hope to be there soon!
Apr 15, 2017 · Mike CaputoNot well maintained. Mini golf is in disrepair, no go-carting, and no soft-serve ice cream.
