Salthouse Branch Park Reviews
This Virginia 💞 campground is a gem – sites are spacious and level (a rarity!), the bathhouse sparkles and the hot showers are divine. Plus, the park rangers and deputies' watchful eyes made us feel super safe. This place is clearly well-loved and it shows! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
May 11, 2024 · Abercrombie HitchOh I love this place. We go every weekend. We've only been to the lake part but we have reserved and paid for lot 54 to camp in a tent. It is so beautiful right on the water! Offers grills and soft areas for your tent! The lake Beach area here is my favorite to go to because it's mostly family's and older people. Very quiet and very nice no drama. When things do occur the park office people and the park officer is right on it making sure it stays family friendly. It's quiet and clean and the workers are so very charming. Since we go so often and have the yearly pass they know us now and they are so great with my son! Wonderful place ❤️🌅 just wonderful. They also have cooking areas for people just visiting the lake. It's a little cut off and so darn peaceful they're stairs leading straight to the water from there! That's our new favorite spot!!
Jun 23, 2019 · Patricia MendenhallI have been coming here since I was a child. Still very clean and regularly patrolled. Great swimming areas, picnic areas, and restroom facilities.
Jun 27, 2024 · Krystal LangFun peaceful camping trip. We have a larger 5th wheel unit. Easy access to the lake and a boat ramp. Only has water and electric hookups. There was no way for me to use the dump station. It is a tight turn into and out of it, even for a small unit. Clean bathhouse and showers. Has 2 swimming areas. Had a good time there.
Oct 07, 2019 · Eric CThis was a disappointing ACOE campground. Usually ACOE campgrounds are worth going out of the way for, but this one is down in a hollow and the sites are VERY CLOSE together. So close that we didn't feel it was neighborly to have a campfire, and we had to sleep with our windows shut because of others' fires. Many of the sites would NOT be long enough for big rigs. It was noisy with people and kids, but it did quiet down a little after 10.That being said, the campground was clean and the bathrooms were very nice with ample hot water in the showers. There were lots of friendly families camping here and it was fun to see all the kids playing together.
