Sarns Family Resort boasts a truly astonishing environment, as echoed by delighted visitors. Imagine a place where adults can rediscover their inner child, surrounded by natural beauty and a positive, welcoming vibe. The campground's location in a more remote setting provides a unique opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of the night sky. One guest even recounted a legitimate sighting of the Northern Lights during the 2024 June Gems and Genetic festival, a testament to the clear, dark skies afforded by the resort's location. For astrophotography enthusiasts, the potential for capturing stunning Milky Way shots is a real possibility, although, as one visitor noted, dew and moisture might present a slight challenge, highlighting the authentic outdoor experience.
The positive atmosphere extends throughout the property. Even the presence of a small cemetery nearby is described as having an "uplifting aura," suggesting a sense of peace and tranquility that permeates the entire resort. This harmonious environment makes Sarns Family Resort a truly special place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Beyond its natural beauty, Sarns Family Resort offers a wide array of services and features designed to cater to every type of camper and visitor. For those seeking classic camping experiences, the campground provides well-maintained RV sites and tent camping areas. With a marina on-site, water enthusiasts will find easy access to aquatic adventures, whether it's boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the serene lake views.
What truly sets Sarns Family Resort apart are its unique and unexpected features. Imagine stepping out of your accommodation and finding a golf course within easy reach. For those who enjoy a round of golf, this amenity adds an extra layer of recreation to your camping trip. Furthermore, the resort boasts a shooting range, where, as one enthusiastic reviewer mentioned, you can literally walk out your front door on Sunday mornings and participate in skeet shooting, with a gravel pit available for pistol practice. These unique offerings cater to a diverse range of interests, ensuring there's always something new and exciting to discover.
Families with children will be delighted by the massive playground, providing a safe and fun environment for kids to burn off energy and make lasting memories. The inclusion of fish ponds adds another dimension to the recreational activities available, offering a relaxing pastime for all ages.
The positive experiences of visitors are consistently highlighted in their reviews. The staff is repeatedly praised for being incredibly kind and welcoming, contributing significantly to the overall positive vibe of the resort. Guests consistently mention the friendly atmosphere and the sense of community among fellow visitors.
One of the standout features of Sarns Family Resort is its commitment to hosting engaging events. The annual June Gems and Genetic festival, mentioned by a returning guest, is a prime example. This festival is described as an "incredible event" featuring quality performers and captivating laser light shows that dance through the trees, creating a truly magical experience. The fact that guests are eager to return year after year speaks volumes about the quality and enjoyment these events offer.
While the resort offers a remote and nature-filled experience, it's worth noting, as one observant guest pointed out, that being surrounded by nature can sometimes mean encountering wildlife, including the occasional nighttime sounds of animals in the woods. However, this is presented as a natural aspect of the remote setting, a trade-off for the breathtaking starry nights and the overall tranquility of the location.
In summary, Sarns Family Resort, Campground, & Marina offers a comprehensive and exceptional "camping near me" experience. It seamlessly blends the beauty of nature with a wide range of services, unique features like a golf course and shooting range, and engaging events. Sarns Family Resort, Campground, & Marina Reviews
This place is truly astonishing, simply amazing. Making adults enjoy such time so fun you feel like a kid again. I was able to catch a legitimate glimpse of the northern lights when they hosted the 2024 June Gems and Genetic festival which I first went to in 2023 and was culture shockingly blown away by what an incredible event these people have thrown, my biggest regret is not bringing my dog there yet considering how many happy dogs are around, I mean, everyone around here is totally happy and just gets along all over it’s such a positive place and vibe, well except for the animals that were fighting in the woods at night but that’s what you get when you’re remote and remote you are and able to see such bountiful stars in the night sky, I was able to capture some Milky Way shots just by leaving phone on car roof, but due to dew and moisture conditions the photos couldn’t be done true justice. Same with the property, I haven’t been in every nook and cranny but even next to the small cemetery on the street there’s an uplifting aura. The Gems and Genetics festival is booked with quality performers and captivating laser light shows that travel to the trees and are just so cool. Looking forward to returning again and again and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming great people super fun events.
Jun 29, 2024 · Vinnie CozziSo far this place gets better everyday. Found the beach, golf course, and on Sundays at 10 am I can walk out my front door and blast some skeet at the range that's literally a 20 second walk and there's a gravel pit for pistols... oh my.... so far everybody is really nice and friendly. There's a massive playground for the kids and fish ponds. I find there's always something new to do here.

Jun 11, 2024 · Brian FowlerMe and my wife spent the week of our 30 year anniversary here and it was excellent. Much needed relaxation but so many things to enjoy also. Enjoyed the golf course, the gravel pit were we shot our guns, walking around, and more! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Felt like the best part of a family! We are absolutely going back. Sherry Sarns is doing great at keeping the place kept up and was a pleasure to meet.
