One reviewer describes Bay Camp as "one of the nicest campsites on the property," noting its "more cozy" feel and the surrounding "wooded area that really sets it off." This suggests a camping environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and offers a sense of immersion in nature. While not the closest to all amenities (Senoia Camp holds that distinction), Bay Camp Loop is "fairly close to the Marina, swimming area, restaurant and concession stand, as well as the Visitor's Center." These are accessible via an "awesome woodchip mulch padded trail," indicating well-maintained pathways for easy access to these facilities. The "cozy" and "wooded" environment of the loop itself is another highlight, offering a more intimate camping experience. The kid-friendly aspect, with a playground, makes it ideal for families. The pet-friendly policy ensures that your four-legged family members can join the adventure. The availability of electric hookups, coupled with the spaciousness of the campsites (enough room for a 6-person camper and a 10-person tent, according to one reviewer), adds to its appeal.
The fact that the road within Bay Camp is "not a very busy road" and that kids were seen "biking up and down the street" suggests a safer and more relaxed environment for families with children. The reviewer who stayed for three nights over a somewhat busy Labor Day weekend still described it as "awesome" and would "definitely recommend" it, indicating a positive overall experience even during peak times.

Bay Camp at Raystown Lake is one of the nicest campsites on the property. It just seems more cozy and the wooded area that surrounds it really sets it off. Though not the closest (Senoia Camp is), it's fairly close to the Marina, swimming area, restaurant and concession stand, as well as the Visitor's Center, which are accessible via an awesome woodchip mulch padded trail. Raystown Lake is a great Lake resort area.
Sep 19, 2020 · Coming JudgementGreat place. Kid friendly with a playground. Not a very busy road at Bay Camp. Kids biking up and down the street. Plenty of room for a 6 person camper and a 10 person tent. Electric hookups but no water so arrive with the camper full. Pet friendly too! Stayed for 3 nights and it was awesome. Even though it was somewhat busy because of Labor Day weekend coming. Definitely recommend.
Aug 25, 2019 · Jackie ShrockWe spent a weekend @ Bay's campground in Raystown. Its a smaller campground which was perfect, with alittle more peace and quiet. This was our first experience there and we were very impressed with our tent campsite, it was a corner site so we definitely had more privacy beside and behind us. Actually had some deer pass by very close at day break! Site was very well maintained, the dirt/sand pad was very convenient for setting up our tent! Park rangers were very friendly. Lake is gorgeous and very peaceful in the morning! Beautiful place overall!
Sep 19, 2022 · Emily NoltBeautiful, quiet, and well maintained. However, the people in the campground, stores, and check in are very unfriendly. We are full time rver's. Good internet location for those of us who are still working and not vacationing, but then again a friendly face and a smile go a long way with me.
Oct 02, 2021 · Sophia BertronGreat spot for camping. The sites are well maintained and spread out enough that you aren't on top of other campers. The lake is clean and good for swimming. There are also plenty of walking and biking trails, including a dirt track for biking.
