You can reach them at (305) 293-4432 or +1 305-293-4432 for reservations and inquiries. Based on glowing customer reviews, Sigsbee Campground offers a memorable camping experience in the heart of the Florida Keys.
One enthusiastic reviewer, who stayed for nearly three months, described it as "a great place to enjoy the ocean and have quick access to Key West." This highlights the prime environment of Sigsbee Campground. Being located in Key West, it likely offers stunning ocean views and the opportunity to enjoy the coastal atmosphere. The quick access to Key West itself is a significant advantage, allowing campers to easily explore the attractions, restaurants, and nightlife that the island city is famous for. For local users wanting a beach camping experience with urban conveniences nearby, Sigsbee Campground appears to offer the best of both worlds within the "camping near me" category.
The same long-term visitor also praised the facilities, noting "A great combination of dry camping and full hook ups." This caters to a variety of camping preferences, whether you prefer the simplicity of dry camping or the convenience of full hookups for your RV. The availability of both options makes Sigsbee Campground versatile for different types of campers. Furthermore, the reviewer mentioned "three different bath houses with laundry facilities," indicating that campers have access to clean and convenient amenities, including the ability to do laundry on-site. It was also noted that "One of the laundry facilities is currently shut down for repairs," so local users might want to inquire about the status of all laundry facilities when booking.
Beyond the location and facilities, the staff at Sigsbee Campground received exceptional praise: "In addition to the great location and facilities, the staff here is just incredible. Headed up by Shannon, the rest of the team, Dennis, Alvin, Andrea, and Angel do a phenomenal job of supporting all the campers." The reviewer was particularly impressed by their willingness to accommodate campers' requests to move to different sites, whether it was from dry camping to full hookups or to a waterfront spot. This level of customer service suggests that local users can expect a welcoming and helpful experience during their stay. The staff is also described as "quick to respond to any maintenance issues that arise," ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment.
Another reviewer echoed the positive sentiment, calling it an "Awesome campground with great views." This reinforces the idea that the environment of Sigsbee Campground is a major draw. However, this reviewer also noted that "Spots are tight but worth it!" This is an important piece of information for local users planning to bring larger RVs or those who prefer more spacious campsites. While the views and overall experience are deemed worthwhile, be prepared for potentially close quarters with neighboring campers.
Finally, the second reviewer advised, "Make sure to have your paperwork ready though they want to see it all." This suggests that Sigsbee Campground has specific check-in procedures and requires guests to have the necessary documentation. Local users should ensure they have all required paperwork to ensure a smooth arrival process.
In summary, for local users seeking "camping near me" in a stunning coastal environment with easy access to Key West, Sigsbee Campground offers a compelling option. The environment boasts ocean views, and the campground provides a mix of dry camping and full hookup sites. Services include multiple bath houses with laundry facilities (though one may be under repair). Key features highlighted by reviewers are the incredible staff who go above and beyond to assist campers, the great location near the ocean and Key West, and the overall positive atmosphere. While spots might be tight, the experience is considered "worth it" by visitors. Remember to have your paperwork ready upon arrival.

Sigsbee Campground Reviews
What a great place to enjoy the ocean and have quick access to Key West. My wife and I have been here for almost 3 months and we have thoroughly enjoyed every day. We were supposed to leave a month and a half ago and we just keep telling ourselves, that we are not ready to leave the campground nor the Key West area. Alas, we have to leave this Sunday for a family event so we will do so with sadness in our hearts. A great combination of dry camping and full hook ups. There are three different bath houses with laundry facilities. One of the laundry facilities is currently shut down for repairs. In addition to the great location and facilities, the staff here is just incredible. Headed up by Shannon, the rest of the team, Dennis, Alvin, Andrea, and Angel do a phenomenal job of supporting all the campers. It is amazing to watch them handle the campers' request sto be moved from one part of the campground to another for a variety of reasons. Some people want to move from dry camping to full hook ups. Other people want to move from full hook ups not on the waterfront, to full hook ups on the waterfront. Whatever the request is, the team works hard to accommodate the campers. They are also quick to respond to any maintenance issues that arise. Can't say enough good things about them.

Dec 30, 2024 · Kayla ArittIt’s a good campground. Not too crowded especially compared to other RV camps in the area, facilities are very nice, and pretty easy to enter/exit. It is military only and you can’t have fires. We stayed for 80 days, weather was amazing every day except for 3, the beach area is nice, and the restaurant there is pretty decent. There are usually a few younger families too. The commissary and exchange are both small but it’s also Key West so it’s good for the area. If you plan on staying for a while and you have kids, there’s four parks, a rec building, church every Sunday at 1030 (at the rec building), a splash pad, teen center, and youth center. Great people great place.
Jan 20, 2023 · kaelyn phillipsAmazing place with golf view, and beautiful sunsets. Nice leveled spots, close to the commissary and Nex, plenty of parking. Short drive to the Key West but far away enough to enjoy a quiet and peaceful time just admiring the view.
Feb 02, 2023 · Kaja SWIEBThis base is amazing! The price is phenomenal! $45 per for an unobstructed view of the ocean! The poor office staff wanted so much information I swear they were going to ask the size of my personal ahem…information! Check In takes about a hour to go through all of your paperwork, military ID, vehicle/camper registrations, insurances, etc. However, the best part of camping there was my camp host, Alex! He offered great advice on places to go, price lines, what to do, how to snorkel properly, and the better spots around for everything; whether it be food, recreation or fun! The man is a true “host” of knowledge and went above and beyond to make my family and the other campers feel very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
