Small Country Campground Reviews
Beautiful campground. It is well maintained and bathhouses are very clean. Nice walking paths. There is a trampoline, playground, pool, and mini golf for the kids. The camp store is lacking in essentials and a deli or small restaurant would be nice. There are no local restaurants.
Feb 11, 2025 · Bird KSpent this past long weekend at Small Country.... Pulled in and found the entrance and check in area well marked and easy to park and access. I was greeted by two very nice ladies who were eager to help and answer questions. As is customary, I was given a map with sharpie markings on where my site was and the best way to get to it. Ladies discussed the bath house location and I was on my way.... I stayed in a pull through in the "orange" section which was very easy to get into and out of. No issues at all with wifi, sewer or 30A power. Every pedestal has 30 and 50A plugs. Our site had cable and I was told that construction is underway to add cable to ALL sites. Weather was a bit chilly in the evenings, so the fire ring on every site was a nice touch. We rolled into Louisa and found several stores, we went to the Tractor Supply and got a few things.... Oh... I forgot to mention that the office has a very well stocked camp store, with some merchandise and food items, as well as some light camping items you may have forgotten.... We'll be back!!!
Nov 21, 2024 · Bob GregoryFabulous campground and friendly staff! When I first called to make our reservation the staff was friendly and helpful. The cabins were clean and the campground itself was beautiful and quiet. We will definitely be coming back.
Nov 27, 2024 · Summer HarmonWe had a wonderful experience camping for two nights here with a group of over 90 people. We pretty much had one row of individual campsites all to ourselves. The amenities are awesome and the bathrooms were clean. I normally don’t like campgrounds bathrooms but I was totally okay with this one, which appeared newly renovated. The kids enjoyed the pool, running around freely, stars, s’mores on a stick, etc.We like that we could charge our car also!
Jun 25, 2024 · Miriam MiriamWe just spent the weekend there. For our first time going there it was great. All the staff were amazing. Lots of things for kids and adults to do. The pool is well maintained. Lots of things going on each night we were there. Karaoke was a great time. The fishing was great as well. If you plan to fish I would recommend using live worms. We were about to catch everything stocked in the pond just off nightcrawlers. The cabin was great and I recommend it to everyone who doesn't have a RV or tent. We had rented a bunk cabin and while things were a little snug at times the wife and I thought it was perfect for our little group. Prices from cabin rental to things in the store were great. If you are looking for a place to go and relax this is the spot.
