Smoker Holler RV Resort Introduce
For local users seeking an affordable and peaceful "camping near me" experience in the scenic Wears Valley area, Smoker Holler RV Resort, located at 4119 Wears Valley Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862, USA, offers a practical and well-regarded option. Situated in a less traveled but beautiful part of the region, this RV resort provides a quiet and well-maintained environment for both short-term and potentially longer-term stays. If you're looking for full hookups at an economical price point, Smoker Holler RV Resort might be the perfect fit for your next local camping adventure.
Wears Valley itself is known for its natural beauty and more laid-back atmosphere compared to the bustling areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, which are still within easy reach. Choosing Smoker Holler RV Resort as your "camping near me" destination allows you to enjoy the tranquility of this picturesque valley while still having convenient access to the attractions and amenities of the broader Smoky Mountain region. The area is characterized by its stunning mountain views, opportunities for scenic drives, and a generally quieter ambiance, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
According to guest reviews, Smoker Holler RV Resort is indeed a "nice, quiet and well maintained" campground. This suggests that the environment is conducive to relaxation and that the owner takes pride in the upkeep of the property. The personal touch of a "very nice and helpful" owner can significantly enhance the camping experience, providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all guests.
One of the key features highlighted by reviewers is the availability of full hookups at an economical price. This is a significant advantage for RV travelers who rely on these connections for a comfortable and self-sufficient stay. Full hookups typically include water, electricity, and sewer connections, allowing RVers to utilize all the amenities within their vehicles without the need for frequent trips to communal facilities.
It is important to note, as mentioned in a review, that the resort has limited communal bathroom facilities, with only "basically a one person bathroom with shower for your use." This information is crucial for potential guests to consider, especially those who prefer or rely on communal restrooms. However, the reviewer also points out that if your RV's shower is functional, this limitation becomes less of an issue, making Smoker Holler RV Resort an "awesome place to leave a little $$ in your pocket" due to its affordability.
Another aspect mentioned by a guest is some "little noise from the road that is not far from the campers." While this didn't bother the reviewer and they were able to sleep soundly, it is something to be aware of for those who are particularly sensitive to noise. The reviewer also noted that the operation of an RV's AC or furnace would likely drown out any road noise. This suggests that while the resort is conveniently located, there might be some ambient sound from nearby traffic.
Interestingly, the review mentions that "most in the park seems to be full-time in the outer perimeter with nightly stays in the interior." This could indicate a community feel within the resort, with long-term residents potentially creating a stable and familiar environment. For nightly or short-term visitors, being situated in the interior of the park might offer a slightly more transient but still welcoming atmosphere.
The attentive nature of the owner is reiterated, with the reviewer stating that the owner "takes care of the place and will check in with you from time to time." This personal engagement can contribute to a positive and well-supported camping experience, ensuring that guests feel welcome and any concerns are addressed promptly.
The review also provides insight into potential pricing, mentioning a "monthly charge of $800" which the reviewer felt was "priced right for what it is." While this is for a long-term stay, it gives local users an indication of the resort's overall affordability. For shorter stays, the nightly or weekly rates would likely be proportionally reasonable, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers seeking "camping near me."
Regarding specific services and features beyond the full hookups, quiet environment, and attentive owner, the provided information is somewhat limited. We know there is a single communal bathroom with a shower, and there is no mention of amenities like a pool, laundry facilities, or organized activities. Therefore, local users should primarily consider Smoker Holler RV Resort for its economical full hookups and peaceful location rather than for extensive resort-style amenities. For those who are self-contained in their RVs and prioritize affordability and a quieter setting, this campground appears to be a strong contender.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. To learn about any potential discounts for local residents, বিশেষ seasonal rates, or extended stay offers, it is recommended to contact Smoker Holler RV Resort directly at (865) 453-8777 or +1 865-453-8777. When inquiring, be sure to mention that you are a local user searching for "camping near me" to see if any specific promotions are available.
In summary, Smoker Holler RV Resort in Wears Valley offers local users an economical and quiet "camping near me" option with full RV hookups. While it has limited communal bathroom facilities and no pool, its well-maintained environment, helpful owner, and attractive pricing make it a worthwhile consideration for budget-conscious RV travelers who appreciate a less crowded and more serene setting near the Smoky Mountains. For those who are self-sufficient in their RVs, the value and peaceful location of Smoker Holler RV Resort are likely to provide a satisfying camping experience.

Smoker Holler RV Resort Reviews
Nice, quiet and well maintained. The owner is very nice and helpful. It is located in Wears Valley which is less traveled but beautiful.
Dec 14, 2024 · Bill WadeA great place if you are looking for full hookups at an economical price in the area. No pool and basically only a one person bathroom with shower for your use. As long as your shower is working in your RV this is an awesome place to leave a little $$ in your pocket to enjoy your stay in the area. A little noise from the road that is not far from the campers but didn't bother me. Slept all night. The AC or Furnace drowns all that out anyway. Most in the park seems to be full-time in the outer perimeter with nightly stays in the interior. The owner takes care of the place and will check in with you from time to time. All considered I would definitely stay here again when in the area. At a monthly charge of $800 it seems priced right for what it is. No complaints.

Oct 14, 2024 · Robert FinocchiaroWe decided on this place last minute. We called and we're given a spot right away. We would arrive late for a 2 day stay. The lady was super nice, we stayed our full days without being asked to pay. The price was great, and we paid on our way out. I'd stay her again in a heartbeat if I was in the area. It's a simple place with hookups tucked in the woods.
Oct 26, 2023 · Tonya AyersBefore we got here I read all the reviews and began to second guess my decision. I am glad that we went ahead and decided to stay here.We knew we would be late getting in so we called ahead and the young lady 😉 who took my call was one of the nicest folks that I have dealt with at a camp ground. She even went two steps further by leaving a light on our campsite so that we knew which site was ours. That made it a whole lot easier being that we rolled in around 10 pm.Being totally honest. This is not a 5 star resort. Do not come here expecting an expansive layout. There is no pool, shuffle board area or bath house. But there are nice people and great views. And who ever made the comment about not being allowed to make friends with the campers obviously wasn’t a very friendly person. Everyone here is nice and good to talk with.So come here if you want a nice place to stay with good folks but stay away if you require more “creature” features.Dave Grantham
