Smokey Bear (Alturas) Campground Reviews
Absolutely beautiful! The campground host Tammy was amazing! She had lots of info on the surrounding area and The Hot Springs. Lots of wildlife.
Jun 16, 2021 · Eric ColeClean, convenient, great place for camping!
Aug 21, 2018 · Mykala WallacePretty view of the lake from most sites in the campground. Trees were thin, so not much privacy anywhere. Lots of dead and down trees for firewood. Not going to feel alone here -too thin of a forest - which is typical for the Sawtooths. Lake was crystal clear, and if it would’ve been hot out, easy sandy shores would be great for swimming
Sep 21, 2018 · 82kellyjoThis is an amazing campground on the shores of Alturas Lake. The sites are large and give great space for the kids to run around and the beach access for a number of the sites is amazing. Get there early on busy weekends to help ensure you get the best sites. All of the sites has table and fire pits.#wandervans
