Free camping is hard to come by, but this place is it. It's off the beaten path. Abt 10 miles of dirt road off Rt 9. 14 day limit on camping. Donation welcome. Environmental Police come by abt once a day. No on site water, but there is a spring just up the road. In closed porta potty buildings. Bring a generator for if yr powering a camper. Hiking trails, swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, cooking grills at the Reservoir. Beautiful area. Great place to take the family.
