Springfield KOA Journey Reviews
We stayed here for 13 weeks...June - September. This campground is very nice and quiet. Totally off the beaten path down a quiet tree lined country road. You are literally in your world here. Great place to connect with nature. Pull through spots are spacious. There is a nice pool. We had a really nice time here and look forward to coming back!
Sep 17, 2024 · Michelle YoungWe had a group of about 20 that stayed in 3 cabins and the tent sites. It was affordable and really nice park! The restrooms/showers were always clean and the owners were really helpful and quick when we had a problem with ground nests of bees that were in our site. Note that they are very serious quiet time begins at 10:30, they should consider moving it back a little later at least on the weekends. Also, no wifi. Overall great time!
Aug 11, 2024 · Taylor OckerVery clean campsite, bathrooms, showers and grounds.Staff was super friendly and helpful too.Bouncy castle for kids, very clean pool...seemed to have many activities.Remote, down a country road. We even saw a family of deer as we were leaving.Would stay again if ever in the area.
Sep 15, 2024 · T DWe stayed for a weekend during the Illinois state fair. Our family had a race car in the USAC race. It was far enough from town that it felt remote and secluded but close enough that within 2 miles we were by the beautiful lake/reservoir area and a few more minutes right into the Springfield area of restaurants and entertainment. The campground was so clean and such an easy in and out. Hardly any mud-dirt areas. Almost everything was rock and grass. Nice level spots, a small dog park, quiet and calm area. Clean restrooms/shower house and a nice camp store with the friendliest workers!!! We are adding this to our list of every year for the state fair!
Aug 18, 2024 · April maxeyCharming campground, Quiet day and night, for a Journey it is away from the interstate / highway noise. We stayed in our fifth wheel however there are several nice cabins and a Family sized Lodge to stay in as well as secluded tent sites in various locations. Bathrooms and Showers were always clean and stocked. The store has a wide variety of items for your camping needs. New improvements are being made all around the campground and several were in process while we were there however the staff ensured the work did not interfere with any guests or activities. There are several new Electric and Water Paved back in sites while the original sites are in a shaded section and it appears all the trees were trimmed properly to prevent from low hanging branches. We met the owners and they are super nice and treat you well as do the rest of the staff we met. One of the workers (Herman) cruised the park and was always friendly. We would stay there again.
