It is also important to note the mention of hurricane Helene and potential flood damage from a review in August. While the reviewer indicated good amenities before this event, local users planning a visit should inquire about the current condition of the campground and any potential impacts from past weather events to ensure all facilities are operational and safe.
The Appeal to RV Owners: Huge and Level Spots
The positive feedback regarding the size and levelness of the RV spots is a significant draw for those traveling with recreational vehicles. "Huge" RV spots provide ample room for maneuvering, parking, and setting up camp comfortably. Level sites are crucial for ensuring the proper functioning of RV appliances and for overall stability. This feature makes Stoney Creek Resort and Campground particularly appealing to the RV community in the Greenville area and those passing through, offering a welcoming and well-accommodated stay.

Stoney Creek Resort and Campground Reviews
What a great place for the family! The RV spots are huge. There are so many activities to do in the park. Can't wait for summer so we can enjoy all that the park has to offer. There is also a store, grill (only open on Fridays), and a community hall. Friday is Bingo there and so fun!
Dec 07, 2024 · Heather GoffWe stayed at this campground in August before the hurricane Helene flood damage. Good amenities but wish they had a dog park. Site 186 was spacious and level. Quiet during the week but definitely not on the weekend.
Oct 09, 2024 · Julie GarrettGorgeous views and an awesome campground with things to do there however I have been to seven campgrounds this summer including this one and this one had a horrible atmosphere and was not friendly at all in my opinion. There seems to be a lot of people that are regulars there and stay that have their own groups and are not friendly to new people at all. Gorgeous place but it could be a better experience if the staff and other campers were friendlier. I doubt I will ever return there.
Aug 19, 2024 · john finkMy family absolutely loves Stoney Creek!! We had been occasionally visiting throughout camping season for years and finally had the opportunity last summer to become seasonal campers!!! We were so grateful our work schedules opened up to allow us to do this!! Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and I truly feel like it is a big family! Everyone goes above, and beyond to make activities for all ages, our three boys ages 3, 5, and 9 talk about the campground on a weekly basis, and how they can NOT wait for camping season to start back for us!!! The on site kitchen at the club house has amazing food!! Bath houses are very clean, free mini golf, the lake is super clean, both pools are spectacular. We tend to go to the top pool as it is more kid friendly with the shallow end. The live weekly music is amazing! Do yourself a favor and book now!! I promise you will not regret your decision!
Jan 23, 2024 · Hollie GatesMy family and I have a seasonal site for going on two years now and absolutely love it. The events placed on weekends such as bands, corn hole, bingo, etc. is something you do not get anywhere else. The amenities such as the new pool in the upper section is amazing as well as the bath houses. All facilities are kept clean and monitored throughout each day! May I also say Freedom Fest is one of the best events to be a part of! Super proud to be part of such a wonderful campground community. Looking forward to returning to our second home in April!
