Susan Creek Campground

Susan Creek Campground, N Umpqa Hwy, Roseburg, OR 97471, USA

4.0
Great campsite with good amenities and access for all types of campers. Each site was paved and had stones carving out the area for setting up camp. The forest floor was blocked off with wooden posts as a barrier between us and the thick plants and bushes. It's next to the river, with a few access trails directly to the water. The area did have a decent amount of mosquitoes though. We stayed at site #14, which was pretty central. It connected to the site across unfortunately, but we had nice neighbors. While not a rowdy campground, it was not exactly quiet and peaceful. Lots of kids, families and friends gathering in groups and the close proximity of sites doesn't lend too much privacy. Still a fun campground that had free hot showers, running water, plenty of trash and places to dispose of waste water. A bundle of firewood was dry and affordable too. The campground host was friendly and helpful, plus they had brochures for waterfalls along HWY 138. Last but not least, I have T-Mobile and did not have service out here. - Tevis Pieper
