Sycamore Campsite Introduce
For local users in Osceola, Missouri, and those searching within the "camping near me" category, Sycamore Campsite, located on an Unnamed Road in Osceola, MO 64776, USA, appears to be a highly regarded option, particularly within the context of "Bartle." The customer reviews provide valuable insights into its environment, key features, and proximity to important amenities, making it a noteworthy consideration for those seeking a convenient and comfortable camping experience in the area.
The environment of Sycamore Campsite is characterized by its advantageous location within the Bartle area. One reviewer, as of 2018, considered it "the best campsite at Bartle by far." This suggests that Bartle is likely a larger camping facility or a recreational area with multiple campsites, and Sycamore stands out among them. A significant environmental feature mentioned is the presence of "lots of shade," which is attributed to the fact that the campsite retained its trees even after the installation of new tent platforms. This natural shade would contribute to a more comfortable camping experience, especially during the warmer months, providing relief from direct sunlight and creating a pleasant atmosphere within the campsite.
A key aspect of the environment, as highlighted by both reviews, is Sycamore Campsite's exceptional proximity to several important facilities. It is noted to be "close to the pool and Osage River Trading Company" and even more specifically, "only 60 feet from both." Additionally, the second review mentions it being "right next to the pool and dinning hall." This immediate adjacency to recreational (pool), convenience (trading company), and essential (dining hall) amenities makes Sycamore Campsite exceptionally convenient for campers who value easy access to these facilities. This central location within Bartle appears to be a major draw for visitors.
In terms of features, one of the notable aspects of Sycamore Campsite is the presence of "platforms for the new tents." These platforms suggest a more structured and potentially more comfortable tent camping experience compared to simply pitching a tent on the ground. Platforms can help keep tents dry, level, and protected from mud and moisture. The fact that these platforms were installed without removing trees indicates a thoughtful approach to development, preserving the natural shade and character of the campsite.
The reviews do not provide specific details about the size or layout of the campsite, the number of tent platforms available, or whether there are any additional features such as fire rings or picnic tables at each site. However, the positive sentiment and the intent of a troop to continue using this campsite "for the foreseeable future" imply that the basic amenities and the overall setup are satisfactory for group camping, at least as of 2018.
Regarding services, the proximity to a dining hall suggests that campers at Sycamore Campsite have easy access to prepared meals, which can be a significant convenience, especially for larger groups or those who prefer not to cook all their meals at the campsite. The nearness to the Osage River Trading Company implies the availability of a camp store where campers might be able to purchase supplies, snacks, or souvenirs. The proximity to a pool indicates a readily accessible recreational amenity for swimming and cooling off.
The reviews do not mention the availability of other common campground services such as restrooms, showers, water sources, or waste disposal facilities directly at Sycamore Campsite. However, given its location within Bartle and its proximity to a dining hall and a trading company, it is likely that these essential services are available within a reasonable distance, although perhaps not immediately at the individual campsite. Local users considering Sycamore Campsite should inquire about the location and accessibility of these facilities within the Bartle area.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Details about camping fees, reservation procedures for Sycamore Campsite within Bartle, or any special offers are not mentioned. Local users interested in booking this campsite would need to seek out information from the management or website associated with "Bartle" in the Osceola, MO area. Given the positive reviews, especially the strong endorsement from a camping troop, it is advisable to inquire about availability, particularly during peak camping seasons.
In conclusion, Sycamore Campsite at Bartle in Osceola, MO, appears to be an excellent choice for local users seeking a convenient and comfortable "camping near me" experience. Its key advantages include its prime location within Bartle, offering exceptional proximity to the pool, dining hall, and the Osage River Trading Company. The presence of tent platforms and ample natural shade further enhances its appeal. The strong positive feedback, particularly the intent of a troop to return repeatedly, suggests a well-regarded campsite. However, prospective campers should seek additional information about the availability of essential services like restrooms and showers, as well as details on pricing and reservations from the relevant authorities managing the Bartle facility. The convenience and favorable environment of Sycamore Campsite make it a strong contender for those looking for a top-tier camping spot in the Osceola area.

Sycamore Campsite Reviews
As of 2018 this is the best campsite at Bartle by far. Though Apache in Lone Star this is close to the pool and Osage River Trading Company, Sycamore is only 60 feet from both. It was the only camp site that had the platforms for the new tents put in without removing any trees so it still have lots of shade. Our troop wants to continue going to this campsite for the foreseeable future.
