Tall Oaks Campground Reviews
Me and my girlfriend have been tent camping here for the past year or so. We absolutely love it, such a quiet little gem off the main road up in Farmington. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will be coming here for years to come! 🏕️ 🪵 🔥
May 05, 2024 · Eric LovettBeautiful area. The sites are so different in each of their own ways. One is around trees, like you have your own forest. Another one is right by a windy stream. Each are super big in size. You get the experience of camping.
Mar 06, 2024 · Liz ParksThis campground is owned by an outfitter in downtown. FYI we had a great experience at the outfitter and their guides. We stayed here a week. The camp lodge/store was closed from the time we pulled in on Sunday to Friday. There are 3 showers for men and 3 for women, these are pay showers costing $.50 for 10 minutes. My suggestion is to run the hot water in the sinks for a few minutes before starting the shower. The toilet paper ran out on day two and I had asked to get some for 4DAYS! before it was restocked. I had even offered to put some in there but they said that it would be taken care of. The outhouses that are around the camp are unusable so they had put a few port-o-pottys around to cover for the lack of outhouses. The problem was they were almost full and very dirty inside. The outfitter promised us that they would be cleaned out on Thursday but that never happened either. The pool there is used primarily for breeding mosquitos and not so much for swimming. The camp was secluded and it was a nice piece of property the sites are well marked. They have firewood at he store and it was plentiful. Water was far and not well marked, the water that was at the pavilion was the color of iced tea.
Jul 07, 2024 · Jorge RobinsonVery cheap, quaint little cabins that have a bathroom, small kitchen with a porch outside. You also have a fire pit and two tables to sit at. If you need to use the shower it costs 50 cents and it's a community one. There are only 2 other cabins and one is for a big group, although tons of tent camping and very accessible to all of the sights throughout the Laurel highlands.
Sep 10, 2017 · robert hobbsWonderful campground. She offered me a better spot to accommodate my puppy and I when she realized a large group was expected across from the site i booked. I will definitely be back. Very awesome experience. 5/5
