The environment at Benner's Meadow Run RV Campground appears to be well-regarded by visitors. One reviewer who stayed in a cabin over Easter weekend described having a "great time," indicating a pleasant atmosphere. The presence of fishing ponds on the property suggests a serene natural setting where guests can enjoy leisurely fishing. For families, the campground features a playground, making it a potentially ideal destination for those camping near me with children. The ability for kids to ride their bikes around the campground further points to a safe and spacious environment conducive to family activities. The campground's proximity to downtown Ohiopyle, approximately a 10-minute drive away, offers easy access to the renowned Ohiopyle State Park and its numerous outdoor recreational opportunities, including whitewater rafting, hiking, and scenic overlooks.
Benner's Meadow Run RV Campground offers a variety of services and features, though the availability of all amenities may be seasonal, as noted by one reviewer whose stay occurred before the campground was "completely open for the season." Based on the reviews, potential services and features include:
- **Cabin Rentals:** The availability of cabins, as experienced by one reviewer, provides a comfortable alternative to traditional tent camping. These cabins are described as clean and well-equipped for a weekend stay, including towels. The "Fishing Lodge" is also mentioned as a rental option, suggesting specialized accommodations might be available.
- **RV Sites:** While not directly reviewed, the name "RV Campground" indicates the presence of sites suitable for recreational vehicles. The amenities at these sites (e.g., hookups for water, electricity, sewer) are not detailed in the provided reviews.
- **Fishing Ponds:** The campground features ponds where guests can enjoy fishing, adding a relaxing recreational activity on-site.
- **Playground:** For families with children, a playground is available, providing a dedicated space for kids to play and burn energy.
- **Friendly and Helpful Staff:** Multiple reviews highlight the positive interactions with the campground staff, describing them as friendly and helpful, which contributes significantly to a positive guest experience.
- **Campfire Provisions:** Guests can order firewood, suggesting designated areas for campfires, although one reviewer did not get to use it due to weather and other circumstances. The presence of LED lights wrapped around nearby trees adds a pleasant ambiance in the evenings.
- **Water and Bathrooms:** The water quality and bathroom facilities received positive feedback in one review, noting clean conditions and good water pressure in the showers. However, the use of 1-ply bathroom tissue was mentioned as a point for improvement, especially considering the rental rates.
- **Kitchen Facilities (in Lodges/Cabins):** The Fishing Lodge, at least, features a modern kitchen with appliances, although some cabinet doors were missing, and a can opener was not provided.
- **Jacuzzi (in Lodges/Cabins):** The Fishing Lodge also includes a pre-heated jacuzzi, which was well-received, although the chemical dispenser needed attention.
- **Comfortable Furnishings (in Lodges/Cabins):** The living area of the Fishing Lodge included soft leather furniture, noted as very nice, with a minor pre-existing issue.
- **Sleeping Arrangements (in Lodges/Cabins):** Reviews regarding the beds in the Fishing Lodge were mixed, with one reviewer finding them excessively firm and lacking box springs, leading to discomfort.
- **Room Features (in Lodges/Cabins):** The rooms were described as clean with ample closet space, although the master bedroom was noted as lacking in decor. Other rooms had themed decorations.
One review provides some insight into the pricing structure, although it expresses dissatisfaction with the cost relative to the check-in and check-out times. The first "day" rental for the Fishing Lodge was approximately $350 for a partial day (9 hours), while subsequent full days were around $250. An extra charge of $25 is applied for late check-out after 11 am. This pricing information, while specific to the Fishing Lodge during a particular period (April 2024), suggests that rates can vary depending on the accommodation type, day of the week, and length of stay. Local users should contact the campground directly to inquire about current rates and any potential promotional offers, especially for local residents or off-season stays. The first reviewer mentioned staying over Easter weekend, which is likely a peak season, potentially affecting pricing and availability.
For local residents searching for "camping near me" that offers a variety of accommodation options, including cabins and RV sites, Benner's Meadow Run RV Campground appears to be a well-maintained facility with several appealing features. The presence of fishing ponds and a playground makes it suitable for families, and its proximity to Ohiopyle State Park expands the range of outdoor activities available. While one review raised concerns about the firmness of the beds in the Fishing Lodge and the value for the first partial day's rental, the positive comments regarding cleanliness, friendly staff, and overall enjoyment suggest a generally positive camping experience. Local users are encouraged to contact Benner's Meadow Run RV Campground directly at (724) 329-4097 or +1 724-329-4097 to inquire about specific rates, availability, and any current promotions to make an informed decision for their next local camping adventure.

Benner's Meadow Run RV Campground Reviews
Stayed at a cabin at Benner’s Run over Easter weekend and had a great time. Our cabin was very clean and included the things we would need for a weekend stay, including towels. We enjoyed fishing in the ponds and our kids loved the playground and riding their bikes around the campground. It’s about a 10 minute drive from downtown Ohiopyle. We weren’t able to enjoy all of the campground amenities because it wasn’t completely open for the season, but still found plenty to do and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.
Apr 28, 2025 · JonnaWe rented the Fishing Lodge for 4 days. Check in starts at 3pm. (We arrived at 4pm roughly) Yet my first "day" rental was ~$350. (4/19) Uh? (9 hours/24 possible) Consequent days were ~$250 each (4/20 to 4/22) Speaking of which: Check out is 11am. If you're not out, they extra charge you $25. So 350 first possible 9 hours, 250 for 24 hours, 250 for another 24 hours, 250 for another 11 hours. 1.75/5 price If nothing else was amiss I'd revise my stars, but considering another factor which I'll get to at the end, this stands for now regarding price.Couch/chair: soft leather, very nice. One small hole from before we arrived for our visit, small patch should fix. 4.7/5 couch.Kitchen: appliances were modern, very nice. Some doors were missing, but it wasn't a problem. Kitchen had everything except a can opener. So 4.8 out of 5, kitchen.Jacuzzi: pre-heated, little chlorine, very nice. 4.8/5 because the "@Ease" ball needed recharged. No biggieWater/bathrooms. 4.7/5. Clean, soft, the bathroom shower heads had "power" to them. 1ply bathroom tissue?? really?? I wouldn't blow my nose with this stuff. Guys, you're charging 250 - 350 per "whole day". You can afford 2+ ply/better bathroom tissue. In our opinion.Campfire: our wood was delivered that we ordered, but we never got to use it because of other circumstances/periodic rain. The nearby trees were wrapped with LED lights, which was nice. Assuming 5/5 campfire.Rooms: clean, master bed was "made," closets had extra clothes hangers in them. Master bedroom had zero personality other than "wood" theme. Every other room had pictures/"stuffed" fish. Not docking points for style, but maybe a painting? Something?Bed(s): full stop fail. There are people in the world that love to sleep on the ground/stone slabs. I know there are. But the beds were like afterthoughts to an otherwise very nice fishing cabin. I like a firmer bed than my wife, but not like this. I was a Boy Scout. Explorer. Cub Scout. Weeblo. I've camped most of my life. I've slept on bare ground before (softened with pine needles and overlaid with a tarp). Had I any inclination that the beds would be like rock/springboards I'd have brought my own sleeping gear. As it was, I was spending 250 - 350 a night, I expected something... softish?? There was no boxsprings underneath, and the "mattresses" were... firm is the best description. After the first night, my wife and I took the cushions off the couch, covered them with blankets we brought from home and tried those. They were an improvement but made for restless sleep. My wife and I were both very sore and exhausted.Woke frequently trying to feel better/rest. I am being very charitable giving 2/5 sleeping arrangements.
Apr 24, 2025 · IRaBN SapidRaManagers are very pleasant and helpful. Many amenities and well kept campground. Perfect place for a family with kids. So much to do for all when weather is nice.
Mar 24, 2025 · DonnaBenners is a fantastic campground. The are tucked very nicely away from traffic. We stayed in our tent. All of the tent locations were well setup with fire pit, others had electric and water. We stayed in the secluded section that was much more wooded than the rest of the sites. Benners is extremely close to many of the areas attractions and restaurants. The staff was fantastic and were super helpful. We will absolutely be back.
Nov 04, 2024 · Christopher MWe stayed here Labor Day weekend from out of state. We enjoyed the pool and our son liked the game room. We Had a fun game of mini golf. The campground is nice to walk around! They had a nice patio area, and we were lucky to hear some live music that was very good!! We had some vehicle trouble that caused us to stay longer than expected and the owner was very understanding and helpful! Would definitely recommend staying at Benner’s!!
