Ohiopyle State Park Kentuck Campground Reviews
Just make sure you come in from Chalk Hill if you have a large RV going for those nice new sites. This was a great campground to hit up a couple of awesome local National Park sites. The people working for the park were all great. Literally, everyone we interacted with was cool and helpful.Would definitely stay here again.
Apr 27, 2025 · Adam VengroffThe campground is really nice with a bunch of amenities, and there’s even a cute amphitheater. But we weren’t told that two of the restrooms were out of order, which was a bit annoying. We stayed in the Birch area, and the campsites were a little closer together than we would’ve liked—can’t say for the other spots. Still, the forest is gorgeous, and there are some great hiking trails nearby, plus white water rafting. Overall it was great and peaceful time.
Oct 07, 2024 · Joud MullaGreat campground. Tucked away & quiet. Nice staff. They have firewood & ice at the entrance. So convenient & cheap prices! Good bathrooms & the showers are HOT. They also have lots of activities for campers (we didn’t participate in any because we had plans but love that they’re available). Very close to Kentuck Knob, Fallingwater, & Pittsburgh.
Jul 09, 2024 · Stacey HarrisFun weekend camping at the Kentuck Campground near the Ohiopyle hiking trails, river rafting, kayaking, & bicycle riding fun. Cool weather in the campground even with 85 degree heat outside. Dogs allowed at the Hickory drive area of the campground. Decent restrooms, nicely paved roads and a convenient place to buy ice/firewood.
Jul 23, 2024 · Chris BrownNice area. We stayed at campground 227. The place is generally well kept and not difficult to navigate. The roads are a little rough and some of the areas are a bit run down. There were rangers that occasionally looped around the camps to make sure people were treating the area right- they weren't nebby and didn't overstay their welcome. The bathrooms are cramped and didn't feel comfortable, especially with how low the stall walls were. From our campground the bathrooms were close but it was a hike up and down a large hill to get to it, so you would have to psych yourself up just to use the toilet. The grounds have a few trails running through it . The Sproul trail was gorgeous. Other than that there were a few odd sites like the cemetery which wasn't a far walk from where we were at. It is conveniently located- within a short drive of both Ohiopyle and Farmington, which has a coffee shop, a Dollar General and a gas station.
