The Oasis Campground Introduce
Welcome to The Oasis Campground, a distinctive and highly-regarded destination for those seeking an authentic camping or glamping experience on the shores of Clear Lake. Located at 13050 Island Dr, Clearlake Oaks, CA 95423, USA, The Oasis Campground is a prime spot for anyone searching on "Camping Near Me" who desires direct access to California's largest natural freshwater lake.
The environment at The Oasis Campground is truly exceptional, as it is uniquely situated on an island in the northeastern corner of Clear Lake. This affords all campsites waterfront views, allowing guests to wake up to picturesque vistas of the lake and the majestic Mt. Konocti across the water. Clear Lake itself is a geological and ecological wonder, recognized as the oldest natural lake in North America and a renowned spot for fishing, particularly bass. The campground is open seasonally, typically from March through October, to allow guests to fully enjoy the favorable weather conditions. The natural setting is teeming with abundant birdlife and wildlife, offering excellent opportunities for birdwatching and nature viewing right from your campsite. The lake is perfect for various water sports, including boating, kayaking, and fishing directly from your site or via the convenient on-site boat launch. Each site is designed to immerse you in nature, providing a peaceful backdrop for your outdoor adventures.
The Oasis Campground offers a variety of services and features to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The primary accommodation options are tent camping sites and elevated glamping tents. All sites, whether tent or glamping, come equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring, perfect for campfires and outdoor cooking.
- Tent Sites: The campground offers both canal-side and lakefront tent sites. Canal-side sites provide more shade and less wind, while lakefront sites (numbered #7-10) offer stunning views across the lake to Mt. Konocti. All tent sites are flat and have been enlarged in 2024 to accommodate up to 4 people (plus 1 for an additional fee) and 2 vehicles. These sites are pet-friendly, allowing a maximum of 2 dogs. While primarily for tent camping, truck campers and camping vans are also allowed on all tent sites.
- Glamping Tents: For those seeking a more elevated camping experience, the glamping tents sit on raised, lakefront decks, providing beautiful views through the willow trees. These tents are permanent structures, each equipped with either a King bed (#14-16) or two twin beds (#11-13). Each glamping tent also includes a deck with 2 Adirondack chairs and a small table, a picnic table, and a fire ring. It's important to note that there is no electricity or plumbing directly within the tents; however, each tent has a small hanging solar light and solar lights on the stairs. Guests are advised to bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, flashlights, and BBQs. Pets are generally not allowed in glamping sites, with the exception of Glamping Tent #11 by special arrangement (2 dog maximum, subject to a $10/dog/night fee), and dogs should never be left unattended in tents. Cooking or smoking is not permitted inside the tents or on the raised decks.
Beyond the individual sites, the campground provides essential shared amenities. There is a bathhouse with showers and bathrooms, ensuring guests have access to clean and convenient facilities. Drinking water is available on-site, and free Wi-Fi is provided, a new addition in 2024, allowing guests to stay connected if desired. A boat launch is available for campers, making it easy to get your boat or kayak directly onto Clear Lake. Garbage disposal is also provided. The campground focuses on offering a true outdoor experience, emphasizing fishing, birdwatching, kayaking, and boating. While specific details on kayak rentals are not explicitly stated as on-site, nearby rental services are available.
Customer reviews consistently praise The Oasis Campground, particularly highlighting the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere. Guests frequently commend the hostess, Kim, with one reviewer stating she "runs this place like a well oiled machine, very clean, very kind and extremely helpful," and that "You have not been camping/glamping into you’ve been to the Oasis at Clearlake." This dedication to guest satisfaction creates a positive and memorable experience for visitors.
The "amazing" views are a consistent draw, with guests appreciating the waterfront access and the beauty of Clear Lake. The campground is noted as being particularly great for those who enjoy fishing, with opportunities to fish directly from campsites. However, it's also worth noting some customer feedback regarding the proximity of campsites and potential for noise. One review mentions that "Camp sites are so close together it’s hard not to be on top of each other," and depending on the crowd, it "can be really difficult to get some sleep," suggesting that those seeking absolute quiet should consider visiting during less crowded times or booking multiple sites if possible. The management appears to be actively working on improvements, as evidenced by the enlargement of tent sites in 2024. While a past review noted issues with bathroom functionality, it's important to consider that ongoing maintenance is typical for campgrounds.
For promotional information and booking, The Oasis Campground can be reached at (707) 245-1362 or +1 707-245-1362. Pricing varies depending on the type of site and the day of the week. Canal-side and lakefront tent sites are typically $40/night midweek and $50/night on weekends. Glamping tents are priced at $89/night midweek and $109/night on weekends, with a 2-night minimum stay (3-night minimum on holiday weekends) and a one-time cleaning fee of $25 per stay for glamping tents. It is always recommended to contact the campground directly to inquire about current availability, specific pricing for your dates, and any potential promotions or packages that might be available. Given its popularity and the positive reviews about its unique location and attentive management, booking in advance, especially during peak season, is highly advisable to secure your preferred spot at this charming Clear Lake getaway.

The Oasis Campground Reviews
The only thing better the view, water, ambience and campgrounds would be Kim your hostess. She runs this place like a well oiled machine, very clean, very kind and extremely helpful. You have not been camping/glamping into you’ve been to the Oasis at Clearlake
May 05, 2025 · Charles WhiteCamp sites are so close together it’s hard not to be on top of each other. The view amazing. But… Depending on the crowd it can be really difficult to get some sleep. We left for the day and put most of our stuff away and when we came back things were definitely moved. On our last morning out of three bathroom stalls only 1 was still working. This is a great place if you like to fish or can get multiple sites but not if you want quiet.
Jun 16, 2024 · Robyn N.We just came back from our second annual camping trip to Oasis Campground and we love it even more! The campsites are a good size and shaded with plenty of trees. Bathrooms are always clean and well maintained every day.We LOVE Kim! She keeps everything clean, ensures that quiet hours are followed, and is knowledgeable about the area and local events. We can’t wait to come next year.
