The Wandering Path Reviews
The Wandering Path is a sanctuary. It’s a place for those who need a safe place in nature to think, heal, have fun with friends, and feel the true beauty of being away from the fast life. Amanda is a perfect host, she made us feel more than welcome, safe, and accommodated in every way. We have been 2 years in a row now, and both times in early March. Very few bugs, cold but clean and stunning water in the creek, working hot showers, clean bathrooms, and a great outdoor kitchen with amenities. Yurt #2 is a lovely stay as well as primitive site #8, which is much more secluded (and a bit of a walk with camping gear) but absolutely gorgeous with direct access to water. Highly recommend Coldwater Creek country store nearby for breakfast, meals, and snacks! We live a 13 hour drive away and we will continue to come back every year. Much love to this spot forever!
Mar 15, 2025 · Liz RimmerWe LOVED our experience at the Wandering Path! The yurts & common spaces were clean and well maintained. Amanda was so helpful and responsive when we had questions. It was a fantastic way to celebrate mine & a friend’s birthday. Can’t wait to go back!
Mar 22, 2025 · Marlee WarnerYou will not regret booking The wandering path! Me and my husband just went for our anniversary and had the most amazing time, you get to be in the heart of nature while still enjoying a warm shower at the end of the day and even AC if you choose! The new kitchen is an amazing add on and made it even easier. What makes everything ten times better is how close the water is, there’s even a fire pit right by the water that anybody can use, we made breakfast on it! If you’re deciding where to camp, this is the place. ⛺️
Oct 09, 2024 · Alexis Sprague⸻My fiancé and I had the most amazing experience at this campsite! The property is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature in the best way possible. It felt like such a refreshing upgrade from traditional camping. We stayed in one of the yurts, and it was beyond comfortable—cozy, clean, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed to truly relax and enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing comfort. What really made our stay extra special was Amanda, the owner. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell she cares about the space and her guests. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly, highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to escape and recharge!
Apr 09, 2025 · Justice “Poetic Justice” GarciaThe Wandering Path is perfectly tucked away and a wonderful spot for a glamping or primitive camping experience. The bathhouse is well maintained, fashionable, and gives luxury vibes. All campsites are relatively nearby the bathhouse, and the walk is not too far. Both bathhouse spaces have a fan and a heater to accommodate the weather. The outdoor kitchen provided plenty of amenities for our stay to feel like an upscale glamp out experience. It is well-maintained and clean. The yurts contained a heater, lamp, air conditioner, a fan, a real mattress, and many more amazing details.A wonderful weekend getaway or overnight spot.
