The environment of Camp Paquette is clearly a significant positive aspect for visitors. One reviewer described it as an "excellent campground" and specifically mentioned its proximity to "Blackwater River canoeing." This suggests that the campground is ideally situated for those interested in paddling and exploring the scenic Blackwater River, a well-known natural attraction in the Florida panhandle. The river likely offers opportunities for wildlife viewing, enjoying the natural landscapes, and a peaceful paddling experience. This trail likely provides access to different perspectives of the natural surroundings and enhances the overall appeal for nature lovers. The proactive measure of raking pinecones into the fire pits for excellent fire tinder also demonstrates an attention to detail that enhances the camping experience.
In terms of services, Camp Paquette appears to provide adequate restroom facilities, although the specifics of these facilities (e.g., flush toilets vs. vault toilets, presence of showers) are not detailed in the reviews. The fact that a reviewer mentioned them as "adequate" suggests they meet basic needs without being overly luxurious. The well-kept grounds indicate a level of maintenance that contributes to a comfortable stay. The proximity to Blackwater River canoeing is a significant service for those interested in this activity, although the campground itself may not directly rent canoes or provide guided tours. However, its location provides easy access to outfitters or launch points along the river. The spacious areas for activities, as highlighted by the Cub Scout group, suggest that the campground can accommodate larger groups and provides room for various games and outdoor programs. The presence of a trail around the lake is another amenity that enhances the recreational opportunities for campers. The thoughtful provision of fire tinder (raked pinecones) is a small but appreciated service that adds to the convenience of having campfires. While specific details about other potential services like water hookups, electrical connections, or waste disposal for RVs are not mentioned, the positive reviews suggest that the campground provides the necessary basics for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, particularly for groups and those focused on outdoor activities like canoeing and hiking.

Excellent campground, adequate restroom facilities. Ground is well kept and close to blackwater river canoeing. They had raked all the pinecone into the fire pit which was excellent fire tinder.
