Thousand Trails Birch Bay Reviews
RV sites are a bit muddy when it rains a lot. Buildings are clean and updated. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Leash free dog pen available. Not a lot of off leash options without a drive to the coast. Ocean around a mile away in two directions. Close to Bellingham for shopping, etc.

Apr 26, 2025 · Ruth WebbReally nice stay with plenty to do around the area. Ocean is a 10 min walk or a 2-3 min drive with a great beach to walk. Full hookups are great and they work well. Bathrooms were tidy, and showers looked good. Grocery store is maybe a 10 min drive.
Oct 19, 2024 · Smokey Da'BearI’m not sure why the reviews were so bad here, BUT I’m glad it didn’t stop us from camping here. The sites were actually a lot bigger and had lots of grassy areas in between sites. Ours was a pull-thru for our 28ft travel trailer. They have 2 playgrounds that my kids loved. They have lots of activities for the kids. Our first night they had a “Lollipop hunt”. The campground is very quiet and I actually liked how they pick your sites for you. The ranger said that they have an algorithm that picks the best site for your size trailer depending on the dates of your trip. We didn’t have any issues with the sewer hook- ups either. We just used 2 hoses. We would definitely recommend it here.
Aug 03, 2024 · crystal bugaicI probably wouldn’t have given any stars if it was possible we’ve been going there for 20 years and it was the worst experience camping this time we’ve ever received the , we had two pot smokers beside us for the whole time with my 15-year-old daughter that was with us ,was not appreciated. Was jammed into a spot that was undesirable., felt squished like a sardine. we are assigned a spot that had no sun, so my family sat in an unoccupied site beside us so we could have a little bit of sun in the afternoon, and we’re told we are not to sit there ,The only saving grace about our trip was Cheryl ,she was in charge of the memberships. She did help us to a different location, and she checked in on us and she did an awesome job, but for the rest of the staff, they are rude. went to go use the washroom. One of the staff members was cleaning it and finished, and was told that I had to wait at least five minutes to go in, when you gotta go, you gotta go. we weren’t allowed to camp next our family honestly, it was not a great experience, like I said we’ve been going here for over 20 years, next year, I hope we can go back and pick our own site!
