Thousand Trails Cherokee Landing Reviews
4 stars for now. But it will get better soon, I believe. I will be going back. The lady at the gate/ office was wonderful. She delivered our package to our site. She also allowed us to move around to different sites until we found the right one with seclusion and good amperage. It was a lovely place but a little rundown. The Tomahawk lodge was in renovations and couldn't go in. The other loge by the pool had new chairs but office like. Not comfortable. A lot of good water front/ views were too low of voltage to accommodate a 30 Amp vehicle. But I hope they will work on that, too. It's a large place and very walkable. But I wish I had an E- bike 😄. Showers were adequate. They did have 2 sections. One for showering and one for dressing. The laundry area was very clean and nice.
Aug 20, 2024 · Tracy HiggsThis campground is a beautiful campground we really enjoyed our stay the pool was a little old but the water was blue and clean and the facilities where clean too we my kiddos enjoys the park next to the play room they where all fighting over the manual excavator. The play room was great had most board games you can think of along with pool tables and much more to enjoy on a rainy day along with very clean restrooms. The staff was amazing they helped us pick a good spot then I made a wrong turn down a road they helped me out getting pointed the right direction. The bridge was great we got to feed the fish and turtles the kids loved it. They told us there was a canoe that you can use to go on the lake but we didn't have time to use it.There are lot of sites not usable (not sure the reason) but have a lot that are useable and the park was clean no trash that we saw it does have a building that is out of order looks like major damage done to it and tennis courts that havnt been used in forever but overall a nice clean friendly park
Sep 26, 2024 · Brian VillarrealI was a little worried after reading the reviews, but this was overall a nice campground. The property is pretty, lots of trees. If you have starlink, you may have issues, I know we did as well as our neighbors. There aren't many full hookup spots, but we got one so I was happy. Everything is old and a little rundown, but you can tell the staff care. The bathrooms could use a fresh coat of paint, but were clean. Staff are extremely nice and helpful, they don't charge to keep mail which is great and will even bring the mail to your campsite! Definitely remote, but we drove an hour to the Memphis botanical garden which I would highly recommend. Overall not a bad place to stay, we will definitely be back. I believe all the bad reviews are coming from people with very high expectations. It's a campground, not a 5 star resort.
Apr 12, 2024 · Madison CourtneyThousand Trails is a scam. They lied to me. I now I have to remember in June or July to cancel my membership that they said would be 50 dollars, but actually turned into a 500$ automatically renewing subscription. I'm basically screwed. They don't care.
Nov 22, 2024 · bryan barbeeWe move around the country for my husband’s job so we stay at RV parks and campgrounds often. We took a chance even after seeing all the bad reviews because I love staying at secluded places surrounded by nature. This place is just that! I genuinely think most of the bad reviews are coming from non-outdoorsmen. You’re in nature, and it’s silly to expect nature to not be “overgrown.” All the operable sites are not overgrown and that’s what really matters. Yes the recreational buildings appear to be old and outdated, but I don’t go to a campground to sit inside the buildings so it doesn’t bother me. It’s been one of my favorite campgrounds we’ve stayed at because it’s just so private, calm, and nestled in the woods. The employees are kind as well. They’re constantly out and about tending to the park. I highly recommend anyone who truly loves nature, privacy, and calm surroundings to check this park out.
