Aug 08, 2024 · Allison KrystofikMy daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Tiny Cabins of Maine. We stayed in Roxie, which, at a cozy 8x12’, was very thoughtfully equipped with everything a visitor might need. We arrived after dark but as the pathway to the cabin, and the porch were lit with solar sensor lights and pretty bundles of fairy lights in Mason Jars, we didn’t need a flashlight or lantern. Sherri and Joel had lit the wood stove for us, so the cabin was nice and warm when we arrived. The stove, which looked and worked just like a standard-sized model was tiny, at around 10x10”, but it worked very well to keep the cabin warm. There was plenty of firewood and tinder to maintain it through the evening and light it in the morning. The cabin was cleverly stocked with cutlery, crockery, cookware, fire starters, seasonings, toasting forks and even homemade hot chocolate - everything you need for a stay in a cabin in the woods. There is a propane stove that you can use inside, or outside on the porch, and there is also a firepit with a supply of firewood. The cabin has an indoor composting toilet, and electric lighting courtesy of two Jackery solar generators. Sherri and Joel are very welcoming hosts who seem to really care about the experience of their guests. We definitely recommend visiting Tiny Cabins of Maine and look forward to returning soon.
Mar 16, 2024 · Rupert PilkingtonStaying in Roxie was the perfect Maine getaway. Sherri and team have put a ton of thought into making the cabin cozy, but not crowded. The instructions for every piece of the cabin are clear and thoughtful, the outdoor space is great for relaxing, and the cabin is setup for whatever weather/season you stay there. Plus - DOG FRIENDLY actually means dog friendly. There are also hiking trails, a dock, multiple fire pits, a pub area overlooking the water, and clear parking areas. The hammock chairs for the porch were a nice surprise as well. We stayed an entire week and never felt too cramped or like it was too tiny. Excited to see how they utilize the land and continue to create unique stays.
Sep 07, 2022 · Alex WeltonMy husband and I just spent the weekend in Maybelle, with our Labrador, and had the most amazing time! I can't say enough wonderful things about this property, but I'll try.. the over all vibe of this cabin can be summed up quite simply as home. As soon as you walk in there's a comfort that makes you feel as though you're coming back home, rather that showing up for the 1st time. It's made extra cozy with throw pillows and lap blankets to curl up and watch the fire or play a game of cards(Also provided, along with a few games). The extra little touches here can't even be described, but we're surely appreciated. Our cabin was clean and inviting and had a variety of salty and sweet treats to enjoy as we relaxed. During the day we enjoyed walking some trails through the woods and along the pond ( I would recommend boots/rubbers,depending on where and when you want to trek) There were places along the way to sit or hangout and the Pub was absolutely beautiful. Just a simple spot, just off the pond, with a small bar setup,a hammock and chiminea. At night it's lit with small twinkle lights and path is marked with lighted Mason jar lights. Absolutely adorable, but do take a flash light or the provided headlamps as trails can be rough, especially with damp leaf cover. The owner was super nice and was a pleasure to deal with... We've already booked our next stay!
Oct 23, 2022 · Deana MarstonThis is the best place to stay in Maine!! We stayed in the Roxie cabin for a few nights and fell in love. It felt secluded and cozy tucked into the woods, but not too far from everything we wanted to see/do! We hiked around the land and down to the water, we cooked on the fire, drank coffee in the porch hammocks and got a great nights sleep, my dog loved it too! Cabin was clean and well stocked with necessities. The road was well marked and very easy to find. Highly recommend this Maine treasure!
