Duck Puddle Campgrounds Reviews
My partner and I took a road trip to Maine and after a series of crazy events found ourselves without a safe place to sleep at 11:30 PM with all local motels/hotels/campsites either closed or fully booked. As a Hail Mary, we called this campsite and the owner, Paul, picked up and gave us a safe, beautiful place to sleep for the night. He was very accommodating, kind, and understanding, and offered to let us stay the night free of charge. So, not only is this spot run by genuinely good, kind hearted people, but the location is also beautiful, clean, and inviting. We spent the night looking out over the lake and listening to loon calls. Next time we come to Maine, we plan to stay here!!!

Sep 09, 2024 · DIANE O'ConnellI love it here but I would rather pay more nightly then $4 for chocolate milk, $40 for pj bottoms etc, also when I went to buy slush I was able to put $4 on my debit card however when my husband went to use his debit card another women told him $10 minimum, one particular taller skinny older women in the store needs an attitude adjustment, why work here if you want to be miserable the whole time, giving attitude to kids etc at the store, also non refundable cancellations seems a little much but then on top of it when you reschedule even if it’s the same site non holiday you get charged a $25 fee plus tax, I don’t agree with this because if I reschedule the trip for the same site and season on a non holiday I shouldn't get a fee however if I was going on a non holiday and switched to a holiday I get the extra charge, overall we love it but as I said the reschedule fee is nuts as is the price of items in the store
Jul 21, 2024 · Skylar MartinI stayed here, with my 79-year-old mother, for two nights. We loved it! We stayed in a bunk house. It had electricity, which was needed for a CPAP machine. All the campsites at that end of the campground are pleasantly big. There are some r.v. sites as you enter the campground that are very close together, but the rest of the campground is nice. The lake is beautiful and we heard loons frequently.
Apr 30, 2024 · Angela LeffelWe had a less than perfect experience and the owners were quick and very generous in “fixing it.” Customer service is clearly their jam.Though the campground is not really my cup of tea (very packed in with little to no privacy, lots of larger “party vibe” groups, golf carts everywhere) I can see why so many people like it. There’s a ton to do, facilities were clean, the lake is beautiful, and the owners are clearly great people. I might give it another go, not in Aug 😉.
